Set Live to Scales???

Hi, I just started a project with a friend who is using Logic and I saw that you can select a scale in Logic and it just shows Samples that are in the right scale and I also think it just lets you put in Notes within this scale. Is there such a "global scale" function in Live as well? I have a push ...

Input latency (compensation?) not stable

Hi, after numerous different setups I can now say that the problem I experience when using live is that live monitoring does not work properly in my constellation. The input of the signal does not have a constant delay but differs. When listening through a mixer everything is in sync but as soon as ...

Re: live doesn't record minitaur controllers

It does record now but just when the max 4 live device is in. Just recording the incoming midi controllers is not poissible :(
Also I get a very high resolution of the controller editor, is there any way to scale it down?

cheers,
jens

Re: live doesn't record minitaur controllers

Remote is set to active and I can see the midi "led" indicating that midi data is coming in. I can even move the virtual knobs of the max4live device but live wont record those :(

Re: Timing issues - bitwig better?

That is totally normal. You are hearing the latency of the signal traveling to your computer and then back out. It happens with all DAWs , yes even Bitwig and Logic cannot magically know what the roundtrip delay is. Either continue to do direct monitoring from your mixer or use the External Instrum...

Re: latency issues

Not sure if mentioned before but when having lots of plugins in your signal path latency goes up really fast. No fix to this

Timing issues - bitwig better?

Hi! My setup consistes of live which through an audio plugin triggers the erm multiclock which sends midi clock to three elektron boxes as well as a squarp pyramid sequencer which controls some synths. Now I am getting serious problems monitoring in live. It seems that the incoming audio streams are...

midi recording delayed due to latency compensation???

hi, when i have a project witrh numerous plugins on the audiochannels that cause a certain delay the latency compensation of live calculates this so everytghing plays in sync. now if i want to trigger midinotes there is an option to switch off latency compensation for monitoring. so when i play midi...

I got serious problems remembering how to select the devic...

Delayed midi

Hi, I experience a noticeable delay when playing midi notes through live and triggering external synths which are monitored through a mixer (no delay caused in the audio chain). The midi goes from live through a erm multiclock into a squarp pyramid which is connected to the synths. Playing notes on ...

Re: Frequency shifter change from Frequency to semitones?

Oh ok, intersting. The first method I suppose will then still suffer of Micky mouse voices etc as formants won't be recognized. The file just gets played back faster and interpolation is used to fill the gaps in between the slices to keep the sound duration constant? Nevertheless does the algorithm ...

Re: Frequency shifter change from Frequency to semitones?

Thanks for your answers. I was wondering this as well as Live would need to know which pitch the source material is in to shift it accordingly. However there is the option to transpose in semitones in the audio menu. Also there are plugins like waves sound shifter or the Logics internal which allow ...
