Is it possible to share the installer? so that Live 4 users could exchange presets and samples amongst eachother. Also for the purpose of being able to keep your presets even if you decide to sort or replace your sample library. Or is the installer only for commercial use? Cheers THAT WOULD BE GREAT

Concerning a good hardware equalizer, does anybody have an idea of number of bands required? Any reference? Cheers I would suggest to you the TripleC from TC Electronic, a multiband/envelope compressor. recently the price dropped down and there also is the stereo version. Working with multiband com...

to me happens that when I press F11 to have live in full screen it jumps of the monitor 1 instead of enlarging on monitor 2. It just jumps on the other screen. And yesterday I had a crash of live when *disactivating* the second screen from the windows menu. At leat there's always the "recovery from ...

not the gain on the desk, the gain on each sample inside the A4000, this will give you a better signal to noise ratio
yes, I was thinking of the single samples' gain, not the mixer's gain...

allen & heat did a couple of models which do it.

Richie Hawtin's father designed a custom modification for Richie's mixer, and after a while it hit the market.

As far as cards, good bets are m-audio firewire cards (410 and the Audiophile FW). no PCMCIA slot on the ibook though.
good luck,
are some adapters FW->PCMCIA existing?

OT:Yamaha A5000 - too much hiss to use it

Hi there, sorry for the OT but googlin didn't helped me yet.... I have a A5000 Sampler from yamaha, which became quite unusable due to a very high level hiss. Both the main out and the outs on the expansion board are noisy. Tried with brand new Neutrik cables (not cheap ones) same problem. Machinate...

linking live

try to synch the two machines "by ear" like they were turntables and eventually use the TAP function to catch the BPM.
What you usually do with the pitch control of the turntables you can do in Live by clicking on the BPM and move up and down with the keyboard arrows.

Re: VSTi's???

No you can't use VSTis since you're too lazy to read the manual!

I agree with genshi. Too much ppl here think the forum replaces the manual.
Live's manual is well done, read it.

USB (FireWire) -> PCMCIA adapter

Hi There,

anyone of you knows where I could find an USB -> PCMCIA or
FireWire -> PCMCIA adapter?

I need to plug a PCMCIA device in a laptop which hasn't got this slot.

Thanks for your help.

All the best
& stay groovy

Re: hmm

I think the VLZ supports balanced.
Gotta check.

yes it does, that's so lovely about mackies (my 24.8 is still in mint conditions after 6 years of intense use).
And if you release your music on the market you can even get one macke T-shirt!
