Re: Warp Academy fall symposium. free online

Thank you guys. I love what I see on Warp Academy too, it's just that I bought macProVideo yearly subscription few weeks back and I am doing some courses on Coursera at the moment (brilliant one on "Introduction to Music Production") - it will be a little while before I can fit in something new. But...

Re: Warp Academy fall symposium. free online

Sorry for bringing back thread so far gone, but does anyone has any idea if there are recordings of it to be found? (or another chance for a symposium?)

Ableton should have a dialogue with us - not just listen us

Dear Ableton, please consider becoming more open about your current and future development. Being open and in constant dialogue is the modern way of doing business. It is not enough to simply listen to your customers anymore. It may be fine to your old customers, but will not be enough for newcomers...

I wonder what do those audio engineers use these for.

I'm thinking… maybe controlling space shuttles as surely nobody needs these many tracks for making music…

Re: LIVE 9.2b1 Discuss....

Like someone mentioned, yes a drum kit could use 7 tracks in total. But what the hell for? Just to have delicate controls over the volume of each percussion? Yes, that what people aim for. Some studios actually do have tens of different microphones so they could use different ones for different dru...

Re: LIVE 9.2b1 Discuss....

@tecoio: To simply mic a live drum kit you would use 7 tracks more or less. That enough should prove you are wrong and so I'm not going to dignify the rest of your bullshit comment with more elaborate answer.

Re: Making music without looking at computer screen>?

haven`t tried the new electribe yet, but the volcas....... yes they are fun (actually that time was very short for me), but i wouldn`t recommend it for a guy who obviously wants to make complete songs rather than some electro/techno jam I concur about Volcas being fun. I thought of them as gimmicks...

Re: LIVE 9.2b1 Discuss....

Historically, how long did it usually took for beta to graduate and become standard version? How long should before these changes become official (on average)?

Re: About playing Push as an instrument. Please listen Ableton.

Oh my god, GridLights, that video is amazing. I'm a piano player (wannabe) and when I bought Push I thought I will be able to play some simple melodies with two hands. I've actually spend 2 long days trying to make adjustment and find some technique that would let me do that and failed miserably. Ag...

Encoders in User Mode trigger notes when not supposed to

I'm midi mapping Push encoders in User Mode and it works fine, but while I'm using those encoders later (let's say for volume control) notes are triggered. Basically when I touch encoders they trigger MIDI note which is obviously expected (according to manual) but on the other hand - not something I...
