Re: how can a midi track output data to multiple midi channels

Bit of a hack, but if you midi map controls on an effects rack to the correct CC and channel then the values and channel are echoed out to the midi outputs set to Remote On. wow, that is a fun and crazy hack. not very easily reusable though. @Heavensdaw, I'd like to do it so that I can send CCs to ...

Re: how can a midi track output data to multiple midi channels

Yeah I was hoping it would be possible to control a Machinedrum with a M4L patch, but it seems like this is a limit that there will be no easy getting around.

how can a midi track output data to multiple midi channels

Is is possible for lives midi tracks to handle multichannel midi?

I want to sent some CC's out to a machinedrum which means having to send them on separate midi channels.

anyway to do this without needing multiple midi tracks?

Re: Is there a way to route midi to more then one midi channel?

I'm familiar with noteout and midiout, however, do they override Live's midi track output settings?
It seems that Live's midi tracks receive midi on many channels and then force it all onto one channel.

Is there a way to route midi to more then one midi channel?

Perhaps i'm missing something simple but I can't see how to send different data to different midi channels at once via live. Seems the midi track wants to re-channelize the info and I'd like to send some CCs to channel 1 and different CCs to channel 2. am i missing something obvious?

Re: sales figures apc40

so how i can't ever see that happening. akai will just sell through the apc 40 and release a mark 2 for the same price. games systems would drop in price as the CPUs and memory get cheaper to build. but is the cost of pots and LEDs dropping fast enough to ever have the same effect. perhaps you will ...

Re: What's the most magic feature in Ableton?

a man half dead lying in the gutter, quietly screaming to himself, bloodied, wreaking of alcohol and piss, attached to the tips of three of his fingers were the keys alt, h and j. edit - OK that's not so magical, just messed up. warping is pretty amazing when you consider how well it lets you slap ...

Re: Powering stuff over Midi cables?

One of the requirements of the MIDI standard is that input connections be opto-isolated.

This was to avoid issue like ground noise and the like. The electrical systems of 2 midi devices never actually touch.

if you really miss this, there is a pref file you can edit to put it back.
