Re: Push 2 coming soon?

Yeah! It was in-stock for a little while for sure, and I kinda knew it would be out of stock quickly since retailers don't have it yet (I called Guitar Center and they said they wouldn't have it for at least a month). I had it in my cart for an hour while I tried various ways to buy it, and then al...

Re: Push 2 coming soon?

Edit: zZounds.com has them (well, just ordered one...I'll see what the confirmation says).

Re: Push 2 coming soon?

While messing around trying to get my card to work with Ableton's site...it just went out of stock. Argh. it said it's out of stock? that's brutal. i feel like they could make it just a little bit more clear on their site when things are in/out of stock. Yeah! It was in-stock for a little while for...

Re: Best Wave Editing Software Currently

Good question, mate. My idea is I'd like to be able to "master" a file and then export the audio with the processing applied - easy. Then I want to spend a day or two listening to the exported audio in different places...take a break and then come back to that master file within Audition and tweak ...

Re: Best Wave Editing Software Currently

Thanks, chrk, I'll take a look at those settings.

Hmmm, I don't see anything and after bopping around on the Internet it looks like I can only save effects presets and not the .wav plus effects in a single file. That's nuts. I'll have to start looking at other options.

Re: Best Wave Editing Software Currently

Silly question from me - I have Audition CC and I really like working with it. But,it seems Audition won't save a file with my effects and settings - it applies the effects and then removes them. Is that normal - do the various other pieces of software mentioned here do that?

Re: Piano key attack sound.

Hmmm, I guess you could add a compressor and mess around with attack and release setting (after you've set the threshold/ratio)? Try setting the attack to the slowest setting and then gradually make it faster - you might be able to tame that initial loudness a little.

Re: Best Wave Editing Software Currently

Been using wavelab, sound forge and to a lesser extent isotope. But just wondered what the standard is for professional mastering. Why is that important? The standard for professional mastering is sending it to professionals who master. Well, I think the question is related to what those profession...

Re: Best Wave Editing Software Currently

Sound Forge and Wavelab. I've always been a Sound Forge user but over the years I've been moving slowly to Wavelab. I just get the feeling that Sony isn't really committed to their legacy audio and video software. I've never heard of Triumph I'll have to check it out. EDIT: It's Mac only. And it's ...

Re: Best Wave Editing Software Currently

Here's a very ignorant question - as I know very little about mastering and I am, quite frankly, terrible at it. Why would you use something like Wavelab or Triumph? Could you not simply import your audio file into Ableton and do it that way (applying whatever you need to do)? Sure, you can definit...

Re: Looking for a good VST Synth for around $200

Try it, mate. I had a few install headaches, but this synth is sexy time. Haven't quite got my head around it yet - but it's got a great sound.
