How do you approach your Live sets?

I have a live performance lined but I only have a few under my belt. There's still more I need to learn when it comes to performing live, as opposed to simply passive production and recording. I'm curious to hear some ideas of how others approach it. How do you go about your life performance? Obviou...

Re: Why isn't there official Obj Model documentation for APC40?

Everything you need is out there, it is a controller that does exactly what it says on the tin… You want to customise it then the research and experimentation is down to you… No one's ever said it's got an editor or alluded to it, they pretty much delivered day one what they said they would and mov...

Why don't some files show up in the Max search?

I've realized that there are MANY patches I have not discovered that are packaged within Max because they don't show up when I view the max patches through their explorer system. For example there's a collection of Max4Live api abstractions that I am unfamiliar with. I double checked the file prefer...

Why isn't there official Obj Model documentation for APC40?

I've dived more heavily into Max always the intention of learning customize my APC40 (which I consider a very poor, uninventive device). I had no idea there was no real official documentation for the APC40 on that level. It really is just comprised of a smattering of random videos a few articles. Th...

Re: Remote Scripts: What are they good for?

Thanks. Do you or anyone else here know whether you can do the same things with Max4Live?

Remote Scripts: What are they good for?

First of all, I sort of understand what remote scripts can do but I don't entirely understand. I want to customize my APC40. I find it's default settings painfully dull. I had assumed they could only be done with Max4Live. I had heard of the remote scripts and understand they're in Python. However ...

Re: Am I the only one with non-stop crashes?

I spent several hours trying to flatten several tracks. A very unproductive session.

Re: Am I the only one with non-stop crashes?

Live has crashed 20+ times for me today as I continue to try to flatten tracks. Obviously we're at a point now where Live 9 is completely unusable for me.

Am I the only one with non-stop crashes?

I've sent about 20 emails to crashes@ableton.com often with a couple or several crash reports attached, since the release of Live 9. Right now Live constantly crashes when I try to flatten a track. These crashes have been going on non-stop and yet I don't get the impression anyone else is confrontin...

How To Destroy Angels (Karma Remix)

Another one of those remix contests. This is a remix/mashup. It contains material from my upcoming album. I'm pretty pleased with it. Hope you enjoy!

Live 9 crashes regularly for me

Is this the case for anyone else? I've sent Ableton probably 12 crash reports (a number of reports I have not bothered to send). How is Live 9 working out for everyone else?

Re: Recommend a Max patch with advanced use of delays

Part of my goal is to simply learn how to create effects like that. From there was going to to decide what I'd like to do differently with it. I also just want to be able to automate more parameters since Echoboy is limited. That's pretty much it. Echoboy offers some discreet fine tuning but its des...

Re: Recommend a Max patch with advanced use of delays

I'm looking for any recommended Max patches with advanced and interesting use of delays. Something comparable to SoundToy's Echoboy - http://www.soundtoys.com/product/EchoBoy Suggestions? don't understand..why not just use echoboy? Echoboy doesn't let you go under the hood enough as I'd like. It al...

Re: Where can I locate the new Max patches that come with Max6?

Moving items to the User Folder worked. Hopefully Ableton states somewhere the files need to exist in either the "Factory" or "User" folders in order to be categorized. I had assumed it indexed all Places and folders selected.
