That sounds perfectly fair. I think the problem you'll find though is that their website is not clear is and communicating seemingly different things.

Re: Post your Live 9 upgrade path and price

This is what I don't understand: I own Suite 8 Boxed, Live 8, and M4L. I won the copy of Suite 8 and it is under my name. However when I click on upgrade options it states, "Upgrade to Suite 8" which is not what I want to do since I already own it. Does this make sense to anyone? Am I missing someth...

Re: Post your Live 9 upgrade path and price

I don't get the pricing at all.

I own 8 Suite and M4L in the U.S. Any suggestions on my cost?

Multiple Arrangements within One Project

Multiple Arrangements within One Project: When recording and arranging in Live, it would be great to have multiple arrangements available that you can toggle between (or have tabs representing Arrangement 1, 2, etc). So that if you have variations on this arrangement that you want to compare, it wi...

Re: Screenshots of Live 9

I don't know why Ableton is so hush hush about it all. We're all a pretty patient bunch but we've love to know more about what they're up to.

Re: Organizational Features

It turns out they are implementing improved search functionality. So thank you Ableton!

Organizational Features

I think there could be a multitude of "sexy" features for Live 9 but I really hope we can at least agree upon less romantic features like organizational ones. It's probably been mentioned elsewhere in the forum but I'll raise my hand in support of it if it has. Organizational Features [*] More advan...

DETRITUS - Free Album

Some of this was made in Ableton Live. The most recent material. It's a collection of work from over the past 9 years or so.

Beat the clock submission - I think I'm pretty proud of this

You certainly don't have to vote for it but I'm pretty pleased with this remix. I keeps getting stuck in my head which I find strange and interesting: http://contest.ableton.com/tracks/1682

Beat the Clock Contest "Latest Tracks" should be removed

Not to come off as too picky but now that submissions have been closed, the three "Latest Tracks" now have permanent placement on the contest homepage. Which in my opinion promotes them pretty heavily. They should be removed from the homepage to make it fair.

Re: APC40 not working on MBP

Dodgy USB cable? Tried it in different USB ports? There's no particular reason it shouldn't just work that I know of unless something's faulty. I got mine out the box, plugged it in, and it's just worked since! perhaps I'll more thoroughly test my ports. However I am using a new Macbook Pro. Hopefu...

APC40 not working on MBP

I have a new macbook pro 15" and am using it with the most recent Ableton Live with an APC40. For some reason the APC is only working intermittently. Or rather, Live stops recognizing it during production. What gives? Is there any advice on how to resolve this? For example, I will the bank select bu...

Re: Macbook Specs - Your opinion?

DSP is dead technologie. Today's monster CPU takes the place of ancient processor. Alright, I guess what I'm asking however is whether the CPU primarily only handles the realtime processing of audio. If that's the case, I'm not convinced a quad-core is critical considering the average producer's pr...

Re: Macbook Specs - Your opinion?

I think you have it backwards. The SSD should be your system drive and hold your applications. The hard drive is used for everything else (including the Live Libraries). Between those two machines, you should always buy the fastest machine you can afford because it will be useful longer (unless you...
