Re: Note counter like device to alternate between values

Thanks for the device. Actually what I meant was cycling through chains for each MIDI note. So for example, with 2 chains: C3 -> Chain 1 C3 -> Chain 2 D3 -> Chain 1 ... Your device seems to be for polyphony, with the 2nd chain coming in only when 2 notes are pressed at the same time. Yes indeed. Yo...

Re: Note counter like device to alternate between values

https://we.tl/t-7TTsrzVBxQ Quick and dirty. More of a proof of concept. Just passes the notes after selecting a chain. Chain 0 does nothing. Voice 1 is Chain 1, Voice 2 is Chain 2, etc... There's still a bug somewhere, because I get occasional hanging notes. (click Transport stop twice to stop hangi...

Re: Note counter like device to alternate between values

Had a test, the API latency is between 1ms and 10.67ms on my system. Averages to about 3ms per note switch. Although, I may be messing with something different than you asked for. Do you want an actual round-robin with a fixed amount of steps or rather something that follows the voices? (eg. Voice 1...

Re: m4l Connection kit OSC TouchOSC bug, Maybe

Had a quick look, forgot I got it installed. I think the cause of your issue is that the developer used multiple instances of live.thisdevice. There are subpatches that load before the top part is executed, because objects load right to left, not top to bottom. I may have it backwards that loadbang ...

Re: m4l Connection kit OSC TouchOSC bug, Maybe

The original developer may need to help you here, but that error is usually the cause of using loadmess/loadbang instead of live.thisdevice. Loadbang goes at the beginning of loading everything. Live.thisdevice bangs when all parameters and stored values are loaded. Its also better to have one devic...

First off, what does the Max Window say? (right-click device title-bar > Open Max Window)

Re: Note counter like device to alternate between values

The Borax object keeps count of the current "voices". So you could use it to achieve what you want. The only problem would be that the notes probably would be faster than you could change the chain selector with the API. The workaround to the problem requires a virtual MIDI driver, so you can send a...

Go to preferences > Record > Exclusive
Solo is probably turned off. Turn it on to fix your problem.

Re: Why oh why can we not deactivate tracks to save resources?

Use case: I'm recording something with an FX chain, I duplicate it, mute it (because I don't want to delete it), but it still eats up resources. To save resources now I have to disable every device in the FX chain and disable each clip. Wouldn't it be great if I could just right click on the track ...

Re: M4L, control any parameter, at least 24 Macros?

Hi hoffman2k, Thanks for the reply, yes that works, the problem comes when I lock the MIDI effect rack to push2, this is the issue I'm having. You can only lock one set of macros (unless I'm missing something) no matter how many other effect racks you have inside the rack( or outside). Hence I'm lo...

Re: M4L, control any parameter, at least 24 Macros?

Use 3 racks of them. Instead of pressing a button to change banks, you just select another rack. The whole point of Honey Mapper is to use the existing functions of the racks, because MFL is essentially broken when it comes to control mapping. There's live.banks now, but that is just another workaro...

Re: Max For Live LFO Song Tempo

Is the rate synced or free-running? Synced would always be an issue. The LFO get its synced rate from the current song tempo. So the LFO rate would change along with the tempo. As the tempo slows down, so would the rate. What you expected to be a second, could turn into a minute. And if the LFO is f...

Re: Can't get Audio Realism ABL3 to load midi notes into arrang

You can export patterns as MIDI files from the ABL3 menu. Then just drag those MIDI files onto a track. And don't forget to set ABL3 to note mode.

Re: Max & Push coders: PLEASE HELP ME I AM PULLING MY HAIR OUT

Alright, I'll be wrong. Been doing it since Live 4 (2004), but whatever.
When you assign an endless encoder with LED rings and change something with the mouse, those LED rings get updated by magic I suppose.
And soft-takeover should be impossible, despite it being a feature of Live.
