Re: Different basslines and problems with muddiness

Thanks for your replies. But I might not have posed the question right ;) Muddiness with the Kick and a Bassline isn`t that much of a problem, but thx for your suggestions. I was wondering if you could have two competing Basslines on different tracks play at the same time. A problem which I thought ...

Re: How fast do your Live sets load?

I`m on a iMac mid-2010 with 4 gb ram, intel core i5 2.8 GHz (quad core) and a 1 TB sata disk. My default set with 10 midi tracks, some VST-Plugins and audio effects loads in 20 sec. My current set with 23 midi tracks and lots and lots of plug-ins loads in 40 sec. I guess since I`m working with not t...

Different basslines and problems with muddiness

Hey everyone, How do you guys make tracks in the deep Techno or House genre? When you just have a kick and a bassline, you already have problems with muddiness. But if you want to make the track really deep and add more basslines, it seems that the problems with the same frequencies can`t be solved ...

Re: New MacbookPro or Imac

Component per component I think this is often wrong. If you get a PC with identical components and ports as a Mac you quite often end up with something very close or even higher than what Apple brings to the table. This is especially true at the high end. Of course another PC offer may be with just...

Re: New MacbookPro or Imac

save for a longer time and get mac pro tower is what i would do personally or build a pc for hackintosh Spending more than 2k on a computer isn`t very economic imo. It`s better to spend 2k instead of 4k but then replace it quicker (like every 2 years instead of every 4 years). The high end componen...

Re: New MacbookPro or Imac

Does it make sense to but another Imac or Macbookpro? Consider buying a mac mini. MacBooks are great, but don`t have nearly as much power as a desktop in the same price range. iMacs are great too, but every time you have to replace it, you kinda also buy a new display too. A few years back this was...

Re: Just traded an MPD-32 for a Maschine MK 2... regretting it.

Should I give up on the search for a perfect controller? I have found that controllers mostly are gimmicky. If you perform live, the apc-40 or push are great! If you produce, you don`t really need one, as your workflow is mostly much quicker with the mouse and keyboard. But maschine as a plug-in is...

Re: Hate Composing - Do you?

I find myself spending 95% of my time making tracks only in the session view and performing them in my studio for myself and friends but when it comes to the arrangement of the pieces into a track . . . my goodness I lose the will to live in 30 minutes max. I actually only use the arrangement view....

Sound design: searching a good signal-wave analyser

Hi everyone, I`m slowly getting into sound design. Creating the fattest kick or baseline out of a simple sine-wave with some synthesis and modulation is pure awesomeness ;) To beginn with I`m focusing on the operator and I`m trying to learn which parameter does what and why. As a visual display of t...
