+1

I would also say, that this is a serious bug. I wasn't really aware of it.

Re: How to assign MAX4LIVE LFO MIDI to MIDI PITCH BEND?

You can take "M4L.md.01.MidiInOut" as starting point. You only have to connect for pitch bend and aftertouch one dial each, wich then can be mapped from the LFO.

Re: Using drum racks to trigger chords for multiple instruments

OK, I was really confused and curious about this because I was also trying similar things. The solution is to take one MIDI Effect Rack . In each chain define the desired chord. Filtering the incoming notes in each chain either by the key zones from the rack, or within the chain using midi fx like p...

Re: Using drum racks to trigger chords for multiple instruments

Create a rack of an instrument (not drum rack). Within the rack, set up all the appropriate chord parameters using chord devices and midi racks or something. Also, within that rack, 'limit' the notes which it can receive to be the notes on your drum device. Place that rack into one drum rack slot. ...

Re: Using drum racks to trigger chords for multiple instruments

A drum rack is an instrument, i.e. MIDI in, audio out. Also instrument racks are "midi in, audio out" devices. So no midi out routing is possible. Possible solutions: 1) For each chord use one MIDI track. Filter MIDI note using pitch midi fx, i.e. only one note = one pad comes through. Set chord. Ar...

Re: use a button on controller as home key

It is possible to MIDI map track one (select the name field). But I assume you also would like to move to the upper left, and not only to track one?

Re: Disable specific midi notes for a channel

You can also use the pitch midi effect and set the range to your requirements.

Scale and velocity could also be of help for you.

Re: Ableton Skipping and Creating a Major Delay

My first idea would be to check the operating system for anything which could be responsible for the problem. In this case it's not easy to find the problem because you cannot reproduce it easily.

Hi ChironControl,
This method does not give exactly the same result that I want.
But thanks anyway.
In which way? Because you don't have negative times?

Re: CPU load of m4l mapping devices

I am suprised. Has nobody else problems in larger projects with a lot of m4l devices?

My current project is growing and at the moment I am thinking about more external MIDI hardware to avoid the cpu load of these simple m4l devices. But that's a bit dissapointing.

Re: Drum Rack - Single sample as different notes?

I am not sure if I understand the aim of the question. You could use simpler/sampler directly in a track without any drumrack. In that case the played midi note goes to simpler/sampler.

Re: Using Ableton Live and M4L for a long term art installtion

Even if it would be said that everything should be really stable (which I doubt) - in any case it would make sense to have automated restart. With tools like AutoIt it could be done.
