Re: Mix getting louder and softer??!

And it's not a problem of the ADSR settings with long samples that you get into the release part?

Re: Sustain pedal kills CPU, really

Still not sure if I understand the question. If it's a matter of polyphony you could also limit the number of voices in the instrument, or your computer simply has not enough cpu power. It's not a matter of the MIDI interface. The sound generation (or playing back and processing samples) needs cpu p...

Re: After 10 years : why is midi mapping in Live so archaic ?

Yes, enhancing functionality doesn't mean that it must get complicated. That's what I love in live. Have a good overview, keep it simple, and being able to dive as deep as I want and need.

Re: RMS Meter in 9.5 - Option to turn it off?

I like the new meters very much and I am very grateful that this is implemented now. I am used to it from other professional DAW. However, it could be a help if the colors can be configured. So every user can decide what is needed most and the colors/contrast could be changed. My personal feature wi...

Re: After 10 years : why is midi mapping in Live so archaic ?

I would also like more native MIDI mapping functionality very much. Taking m4l devices for a simple curve or mapping cc data make things complicate.

Re: Sampler Midi Routings: how to limit the key area?

Are the key fields from the 3 LFOs and the two destinations from key in the MIDI tab working for your purpose?

Re: Drum Rack: Pre/Post fader sends

There already exist sends in the drum rack. The output of the returns is limited to rack output and the main sends. And it is missing to use them as pre sends and not only as post sends.

Re: Copy and paste macro controls onto existing instrument rack

That would be a nice feature I would appreciate, too. I don't see any other way to copy/set the macro mappings in an existing rack than doing it manually.

In Pitch Drop m4l click on "Sync" to switch to time and you have up to 20s.

Re: How to midi map a preset button for automation

BTW: Instead of messages you could use live.numbox (with useful default numbers) where you could edit the number from live - it would be more flexible but also more complicated and less save.

Re: How to midi map a preset button for automation

You can take a message between the live.button and the dial/numbox and enter one number = 1 or 2 etc.

Re: Help with Advanced MIDI Triggering

As said, having different mapping (playing a note, launch a clip) isn't possible without max for live. There is a lot possible by changing chains in intrument racks how and where the same incoming note is used, and also midi effects gives more opportunity. But it would still be a midi note.

Re: Map8 , how to see name on push???!!!!!

Easy. Open the device, (unfreeze it), replace the plugin>plugout objects with midiin>idiot ones, (freeze it). Save the device with a new name. Done I don't know what I am doing wrong, but Ableton is still recognizing map8 as audio effect and not as midi effect. I opened the device, unfreeze, patchi...

Re: Map8 , how to see name on push???!!!!!

It would be nice to have the units from the device showing in map8 as this is done in the racks. E.g. having Hz for a filter freq., or dB for a level etc. and not only percent for everything. I didn't have a closer look into the inside of the m4l device. But if this could be solved easily, I assume...
