1 from my experience (MPC 1000 user here) it seems push mutes the audio of the track that the drum rack pad is associated with. Different tracks with sylenth on each, then route the midi from one to the other tracks and mute, un mute them to compare the sounds.

The new behringer fader units are motorized, and they seem decent for the price, you should look into those!

I have been watching that site for a while, I want to run push 2 with a surface pro 4, bass station 2 and octatrack. Would be my perfect live setup I think!
