Vista works great hear. I was a long time XP user but recently purchased a Dell Precision 690 Quad Core (Woodcrest) Xeon and it includes both 32-bit and 64-bit Vista Ultimate. I'm using 32-bit because some drivers aren't 64-bit ready, but it's no big deal. Personally, I think Vista blows the pants o...

Sampler: How are you using it?

Aside from the sounds that come with Sampler, how are you using it? Importing other library formats (which ones)? Are you sampling your own WAV files and dropping them in Sampler? I'd like to hear what peeps are doing.

Version 1.30 of the driver is out now. Should address some PC issues. Actually 1.30 just adds support for the new Konnekt x32 plus some additional WDM routing for non-ASIO applications. The new TC driver for Konnekt (1.31?) is getting its digital signature from Microsoft and is due for release befo...

The way to disable Aero - Right-clik on the desktop -> Personalize -> Window Color and Appearance -> Open Classic Appearance and select Vista Basic. Your memory usage does indeed sound higher than it should be. Do you have. On the desktop, right click Personalize -> Screen- Saver -> Change Power Set...

Vista: Screen redraw seems slow (resolved)

For anyone experiencing slow screen redraws in Vista on large resolutions (mine is 2560x1600. Dell 30" 30007WFP monitor) make sure you update the latest video driver for your display adapter instead of using the one built in Vista. Seems like a no-brainer, but I was using the nVidia 7900 driver that...

I had the same problem at first. Is Live dropping audio every 30 to 45 seconds, where each drop lasts about 1/4 of a second? If so, do this. I posted it on the TC Konnekt thread. <--snip--> Something that I think is a Live issue and not a TC issue, set Live's application priority to High. The fastes...

TC Konnekt Live. I use the Fabrik C plugin that comes with it on my Main-Mix output. Sounds great and doesn't even use any CPU since the DSP is built into the Konnekt Live.

Half-Action Keys (like M-Audio O2)

I actually really like the half action keys on the O2. I know its to keep the controller thin and portable, but is there such a thing as a 37/49/61 key version of a half-action midi controller?

I've spent the last two days isolating how to make my Konnekt work in Vista. 1) Disable Aero. I know it looks nice, but this makes a world of difference by disbaling it. I think it's more related to the TC drivers than Ableton Live. Simpy right-click on your Vista desktop, Personalize, Windows Color...

1) Dell Precision 690 (Woodcrest) quad core, XP Pro 2) TC Konnekt Live 3) 75% I'm not sure if Live just craps out around 75%-ish percent, maybe its TC's drivers, or perhaps its the difference of Firewire vs. PCI. I tried Vista 32 but the audio drops or crackles way too easy. I'm considering swapping...

What's your highest CPU percentage before audio pops?

I would be curious to know what's the highest your CPU meter will go in Live before audio become unacceptable and starts to crackle or pop.

1) List computer make, model, and OS
2) Soundcard
3) Percentage that Live's CPU meter will go before audio degrades

I appreciate everyone's input!

Axiom - Preset #17 - Sliders for Volume

By default the Axiom preset #17 maps the 9 sliders on the controller to the first 8 tracks and the master fader in Live. Has anyone figured out a way to bank so the first 8 sliders on the Axiom can control channels 9-16, 17-24, etc?

Thanks,

Jamester - Thanks for the info! Sounds like Battery is an excellent option. I like RMX, but my only complaints are that it has its own distinguished sounds, like Spectra processed every drum sound and loop through some kind of mastering compressor/EQ which makes most thing sound like they came from ...
