Goodbye Sound soap. Bias has gone out of business!

The makers of sound soap has gone under.

Sound soap was a great program for cleaning up audio.

Anyone have any suggestions for a similar product.

Re: MIDI troublems

Not exactally an answer to your question but . . . Check this out: http://soundtower.com/plugse/prophet/index.html

it's a VST and AU plugin for controlling the Prophet08 within your DAW.

I haven't played with it (tho I played around with the demo of the Mopho plugin) seems pretty cool.

Re: External hardware effects advice.

I think I might know what your problem is. first don't worry about the sends at the moment. Drop the external effect plugin into the track that you want to compress. You set the I/O on the plugin itself, not in the routing section of the track or channel strip (or return) that you are in. The routin...

Having only the computer plugged into the battery backup fixed the issue with the lights causing Live to freeze.

Re: Live and power conditioner issue?

Well That fixed the issue (sort of) Turning on lights doesn't cause ableton to freeze anymore Unfortunately I can reproduce the freezing issue by dropping a video track into session view (it warns me it will convert to audio) and then when I trigger the clip. boom live freezes. grr, gonna test some ...

What computer do you have? processor speed? memory etc? does it meet the minimu system requirements? 2 GHz Pentium® 4 or Celeron® compatible CPU or faster (multicore CPU recommended), 2 GB RAM (4 GB recommended on Windows Vista and Windows 7), Windows XP (home or Pro), Windows Vista or Windows 7, so...

Re: Stereo to Mono

Yes. It sums the two stereo input channels for that track plays them across both output channels. If you can't hear a difference try this: add a ping pong delay before the mono utility and listen or watch the meters.

Re: How to que an external input?

I'm not totally sure I'm following. This sounds like a live performance/DJ thing rather than a working in the studio thing. you have a soundcard with a separate headphone out? (example: your master outs are set to 1/2 and cue outs set to 3/4) You want to bring in a sound (I don't think the source ma...

I'm not sure that I can help, but for the people who could help, perhaps you should say what kind of computer you have, what operating system, what version of live, etc.

I recently moved and got a new sound card and am going through a similar situation of setting up external devices. Tho I haven't run into this issue. I have a Nord Lead, Dave Smith Mopho, Redsound Elevata, EMU XL7, Kawai K1r, Roland R8m and Akai xe8 all controlled by Ableton Live. I am still in the ...

Re: External effects question

It might be able to work with track grouping but as that is a feature in Live 8 and I have yet to upgrade. If that is what would happen with track grouping then I might need to upgrade ASAP.
