Re: this technical issue might make me ditch Live

Re: this technical issue might make me ditch Live

I'm an artist! I DEMAND special treatment! look, it doesn't really matter if I can't un-install, nobody should ever have a reason to un-install Live, but getting in the way of my updates? wow. I'm already in contact with support trying to resolve an issue, now I'd have to request support to do the s...

Re: this technical issue might make me ditch Live

I have been using windows since 3.1 and I don't think I've ever seen this before. WHY THE HELL are the resources needed to do ANYTHING AT ALL with ableton NOT located safely in the Ableton directories? who the fuck puts anything in Temp? there is absolutely NO justification whatsoever for this. I wa...

Re: Doing first live performance with Ableton

they have a mixer at the venue, you'll use 3 inputs, one for the daw, one for the mic, one for the drumpad.

as for your laptop, do you have an external sound card? normally you'd use the main outputs of the sound card into the mixer, and monitor through the sound card's headphone output.

this technical issue might make me ditch Live

because it's extremely ghetto. I'm trying to update from 9.7 Standard to 9.7.3. Standard. My Ableton Live is installed on the C: system drive. I don't give half a flying shit which of my external or internal drives the setup.msi that I downloaded to install the program might have been on - in any ca...

Re: Mapping drums from Kontakt to Launchpad Pro

the proper procedure is to load Kontakt in a drum rack, then click Show Chain List, then Show Input/Output Section. then, in the Kontakt chain, select All Notes (top of the list) in the Receive column. that's how your Launchpad will set itself to Drum mode instead of Note mode when this track is foc...

Re: Looper in Session View?

yeah you automate a rack's chain selector in each clip to apply a different effect to each. just look for chain selector in the manual and see how to set it up.

try the frequency shifter to bring your guitar strings down to bass tunings, then run that through the Amp cabinet.

Re: about VST automation recording in Live

ThinningAggressiveness is only valid for arrangement view, maybe I should have specified that I'm talking about session recording. I understand that being able to record motion sequences at all is a new thing since v9 but this custom setting appears to be way old. Gross oversight. @the_subject if I'...

about VST automation recording in Live

I've done a bit of research on the subject. It seems that people have been trying to tell Ableton for several years, but they simply don't seem to understand. Let me attempt to make this very clear. I'm being quite literal here, despite the use of images. The following is the automation data that my...
