Re: Akai force.....Ableton push....3??

I was thinking more along the lines of the fact that Ableton used Akai to develop the original push, and then dropped them once they figured out how the tech worked to develop the push 2....now Akai have released a standalone and Ableton integrated bit of hardware....I’m thinking they would push th...

Video showing Ableton integration, smooth transitioning between the two anyway, good job on that.

Re: Mojave macOS, will Ableton 10 ever be compatible?

I hear a lot of problems with the combination of Mac OS X and Ableton Live. I just wonder how this ever could happen. Mac computers where the top notch for audio when I attended the SAE in Amsterdam, and at that time, around the turn of the century I bought a "Blackberry iMac" - a 400 MHz single co...

DP 10 gets Clips Window ?? :)

https://motu.com/en-us/products/software/dp/ https://sonicstate.com/news/2019/01/24/namm-2019-motu-unveils-digital-performer-10/ Ok in the most left field move I've seen MOTU make, Digital Performer 10 is announced at NAMM this morning and gets a Clips window? Seems pretty advanced, maybe not as adv...

Re: MPE support.

bump installed bitwig today i've had enough I'm using Reaper rewired as a slave into Live. This gives me MPE without learning a fourth DAW... Plus Reaper even in Rewire mode is a guarantee of more plug ins in a Set. Same with Bitwig.. Actually ReWire and SysEx are two big reasons I wasn't intereste...

Re: CPU usage in Live 10

Just erased my SSD drive, did a clean Mojave install, copied only a minimum set of plugins and.. yes, no cure for the CPU spikes. MBP mid-2012, 16GB Ram, 2,7ghz i7. Live 9 was always stable, now Live 10 is choking even with minimal settings. This is unbearable. Also fans go crazy 3 mins into launch...

Re: Mojave macOS, will Ableton 10 ever be compatible?

NEVER! Ableton had a press conference in Germany to announce that they have ended support for Mac OS X because the Apple update cycle has become too ridiculous to continue to pander to. As a result of their decision, Abelton will buy back your copy of Live and provide you with a Logic gift certific...

Re: NEW APC???

unless they really have a good plan moving forward and make it available to be known then I think this price point is on shaky ground.. I want one for sure, but I've got to the words warp marker come out of their mouths, if they do that then the price will be worth it... I think they will implement...

Re: NEW APC???

"Most peoples current Live sets would probably work out just fine" ...how can that be when people use ableton plugins and m4l...?...do you think the majority of ableton uses only use audio clips?...maybe i'm wrong but i assume people do use midi and m4l when performing... Honestly I don't really do...

Re: NEW APC???

Maybe that's referring to turning MIDI tracks into audio and exporting to Force, as it can only have 8 tracks there would be a defined workflow that isn't altogether yet apparent... Cheers D 8 regular audio tracks. it can have 8 built in instrument tracks and 128 drum, sampler or MIDI tracks. There...

Re: Reaper/Live users have an MPE workaround!

Reaper uses "Predictive Rendering", which adds extra "smart" buffer size to Reaper's processing. It is a pretty large buffer, I think it defaults to 50 ms (equivalent to 2200+ samples of buffer, in 44.1 KHz). It does add to the overall latency, I think the "smartness" is to disable the extra buffer...

Re: Reaper/Live users have an MPE workaround!

Nice tip. Out of curriosity, how long have you been using Reaper? I decided to give it a tenth chance about a year ago and I finally clicked with it. It took a while to set it up how I like it, but after setting it up I have been using it almost as much as Live. Same time frame and story basically....

Re: NEW APC???

if there is no warp marker tech going on then it's a non-starter, it doesn't make sense for any company to copy ablutions workflow without the warp markers, that's the whole kit & caboodle Imho, the things you can do by manipulating warp markers is the stuff that heaven is made of... just time stre...

Re: Reaper/Live users have an MPE workaround!

Just to clarify, What I did was set Reaper as a rewire slave to Live, just a stereo audio track into Live. Then luckily enough Reaper can still use the Roli Seaboard Block here as a MIDI controller so set that track to Roli all inputs and you can record MIDI into Reaper while the timeline plays in L...
