Re: Best vst for silky smooth pads for ambient?

I have an interesting one for you, check out Padshop pro by Steinburg , its based off of samples so the world is your oyster (literally). Its incredibly easy to get an amazing pad in seconds and you'll be making patches no one has ever made, I use it every time I need a pad patch. I have Serum, Mass...

Re: Which Ableton version with this config ?

Yeah with that kind of setup you really shouldn't be having many issues unless youre running a massive project. No one has said to check your hard drive has a decent amount of space so check that?

If not you can get terabyte external hard drives pretty cheap.

Re: Ez Drummer vs Addictive Drums Midi beats

I'm talking about the sound expansion libraries.

Unfortunately you can not use third party libraries which really sucks I know, so you're limited to what they have available (which are still fantastic bar the older packs).

Re: Ez Drummer vs Addictive Drums Midi beats

Just a heads up while most of ezdrummers stuff is good, some of their early expansions sound pretty poor so just look out for that when you buy them.

Re: Question about monitors

Might I suggest you brick wall high pass a track you are working on to 40 hz and see the difference, you'll be surprised how minimal it actually is.

As for what monitors I use, I have a pair of Yamaha HS7's which I'm very satisfied with. But obviously you are looking for something more high end.

Re: Doing first live performance with Ableton

Firstly, you've got too much going on to just plug everything into the speakers unfortunately, that being said its much nicer to have all the control a mixer gives you anyway. With regards to getting the audio interface id going to respectfully disagree with oddstep and say get it, the Scarlett solo...

Re: Doing first live performance with Ableton

Yeah you'll want to bring your audio interface with you, plug in your keyboard and headphones into there and then plug the audio interface into the mixer with a jack to jack lead. Then you should be sorted. If not the mixer will most likely have somewhere you can plug in your headphones. You didn't ...

Re: What do I need to play ableton live

Hi. So next month i'm doing my first gig and i'm a little inexperienced with combining my ableton project and live vocals. I need to sort out with the promoter what backline I will need; i'm going to be using a midi keyboard connected through to ableton which is playing a session and using a microp...

Making Growls clear in a mix

Hey guys I was looking for some insight into how I can make my growls in a track articulate clearer so that you can properly hear what modulation is actually going on. A lot of the time when I add them it almost just sounds like a wall of sound once added to the mix, when obviously it comes across a...
