Thanks man, so is it a feature coming in 10? If so, any idea about keyboard shortcuts?

Re: Is there a way to nudge audio/midi clips by the millisecond
Is this adressed in 10??? You can nudge in clip edit view in ableton, just bring it to the arrangement view... I know there are a bunch of arrangement view enhancements happening in 10... Yes, this is now very possible. You can't move a clip before 1.1.1 though. Thanks man, so is it a feature comin...

Re: Is there a way to nudge audio/midi clips by the millisecond
Click on the "D" on the right side of the master channel in session view. This will open a tab at the bottom of every track that lets you shift the entire track forward or backward in milliseconds. Or maybe it's samples, I forgot what the number represents. It should be known that this affects all ...

Re: Is Clyphx the Answer?
To be honest life is so damn complicated now that when it comes to music making I feel my enthusiasm die when my desire to just play is frustrated with a new abstraction. I've got to a point where my youthful "excitement" of discovering a new script is very much replaced by the certainty that every...

Set default audio track to be record armed by default
Hey buddies, I was watching one of the many ableton nerd videos I watch, and tip 5 on here got me all excited, as I'm working my way towards more effortless resampling (I really love resampling, and really hate using the mouse more than occasionally, but I digress)... However, I can't seem to set th...

Re: Automation dots - ARGH!!
What about Thinning Aggressiveness in Options.txt? Does that (partly) meet your needs? https://www.ableton.com/en/articles/optionstxt-file-live/ Wow, I will try this. Very good, sir! Thank you. How y'all going with dem dots lately? Annoying the shiizzzzzz outta me! So clunky, man... I wish you coul...

Re: Convert harmony/melody to midi - pitch bend data?
You are correct, there is no way to get pitchbend info from the convert function. Well, sometimes you can get a hint with seemingly sprayed short notes between longer for example, indicating a pitchbend. You have to replace those with a pitchbend manually. But a complex line with pitchbend may be e...

Convert harmony/melody to midi - pitch bend data?
Hey pals,
I'm having a lot of fun W/ the convert to harmony / midi function lately.
It seems that no pitch bend data is included.
Is that a correct assertion?
Is there any way to get pitch bend data via the convert function?
Any tips on applying pitch bend automation?

Re: Lessons learned from researching Audio Interfaces
Looking at this more today, and the presonus quantum is looking pretty promising. Always look at the track record for updating drivers. Currently it looks good on their site with a driver updated this November. I'd like to point out there is a second hand market also for RME products. If people are...

Re: Lessons learned from researching Audio Interfaces
After reading this thread, it looks like I need to spend $1,500 (best case scenario) on an RME fireface UCX... Unless anyone can chime in with similarly tiny latency with a cheaper card? Have you looked over the resource that was posted recently in another thread: Maybe interesting to some people a...

Buffer Shuffler 2.0 - control the cells via MIDI?
Hey dudes, Anyone have any luck mapping the cells in buffer shuffler to a midi controller? They are not mapped by default... I went into the edit mode in M4L, but I couldn't figure out how to map the cells... Would be great to map them to 8 faders on the APC40 for instance... I found a mod of the or...

Re: Lessons learned from researching Audio Interfaces
I was really blown away with the speed and stability of the FireFace UCX over USB. I can now use Looper and play perfectly in sync with Ping-Pong delay. At a buffer size of 32 samples @ 44100, Live is reporting < 2ms round trip, and I believe it. The latency is low enough that I can’t tell the ampl...

Re: Latency settings inconsistent
When I adjust my in/out sample rate and buffer size, the input, output, and overall latency show some numbers (nice low numbers), and then suddenly jump up ... I've never encountered this on any machine, in any OS, in any DAW with any audio interface the last 17 years. I have a hard time thinking t...
