Don't worry, kids....Daddy's here

I have some news for the people who are getting really tired of the ignorant and immature posts on this site. I am very, very interested in creating a forum where Live users like me can go to discuss tricks, share ideas, and just have a much more positive environment to talk about our passion, which...

This is a perfect example as to why I am starting my own forum for Ableton Live users. The ignorance here is rediculous.

Nick, I went to a school in Chillicothe, Ohio called "the Recording Workshop" It is not a "fly-by-night certficate program" like a lot of them are these days. The reason I did only this was because even if I went to Full Sail or to a university, I still would have had to start as an intern or at the...

Are there any sites yet that have been created by users that deal with Live yet?
I am going to have my own website soon. I would love to set up a forum for Live users. I will let you know more info tomorrow.

I think these ideas are good. As long as they can be implemented without taking away any current Live 4 feature and without taking any current feature more difficult to use. I'm all for it! Live 4 is almost perfect. Not completely but it's getting there quickly!

I have observed that some users use the Session View as their "record collection". During their performance, they don't access samples from the browser but from Session View slots. They really use the Session View to browse, using colors and empty slots for visual orientation. They will keep adding...

Also, I don't think prepping for a NAMM show and prepping for a 3 hour nightclub gig are close to equivalent to be honest. I disagree. It's not like I just watched the demos and thought to myself...."this must be how they do it live". No. Besides, the M-Audio guys I talked to use LIVE "live" and th...

But DJ's don't work like that, crowds don't work like that, so it's not a very good solution.[ I'm not sure I totally agree with this. One of the dj's I met at the Namm show did something very interesting that I never thought about. He took all his samples he was going to use for the show put them ...

Gerhard, Hi! This is Nathan (Atlanta) from the Namm show. Remember me? Anyway, I think want they want is the ability to have multiple loops points in one clip so they don't have to be confused with mutilple clips. Personally I don't see the need but I do understand this. Maybe a way to set up multip...

Details? Well let's see.. There was a demo showing the basic recording functions of Live 4. Recording acoustic guitar, vox, and keys and then editing and trying new things in real-time. There was a demo that showed the remix abilities and follow actions of Live 4. This was very cool! Chad from M-Aud...

Report from NAMM

I went to the NAMM show. The M-audio guys were demoing the new features of LIVE 4. I really must say that I thought I have seen everything. Damn was I wrong! There were demos and clinics on remixing, writing, live performance, midi, editing....it was amazing. It's one thing to use these features and...

HA HA!!!!! I almost wrote this same thread about a week ago. Relax, muzza23....It's still there. They just moved it. On the right side of the arrangment view right above the column that lists the tracks and their names .....see it? It's a little box that should appear as "1/1"(default setting) to th...

not logged in right now, -- Really? Doesnt the program "notice" it by itself ? Yes, after they have confirmed with the plug-in companies the correct amount of compensation it becomes "automatic" You asked for a work-around so that's really my only suggestion if you really think it's a problem. They ...

not logged in right now, Unusable? Are you referring to input monitoring with vst's or mixdown? The only way to calculate how many samples need to be shifted is to contact each plug-in manufacturer and ask them how much delay is introduced on their respective plug-ins. That's what the major sequence...
