Re: Can APC40mkii 'User' knobs use same "Fan" style LED as Sends/Devices

Ok I figure it out - it's hardcoded in the script.

Changing this
self._ring_mode_button.send_value(RING_PAN_VALUE, force=True)
to
self._ring_mode_button.send_value(RING_VOL_VALUE, force=True)

in RingedEncoderElement.py gives me what I want.

Can APC40mkii 'User' knobs use same "Fan" style LED as Sends/Devices

At the moment, the tops dials, when used in user-mode show a single led light that moves around rather than the fan style lighting that the SENDS and Device dials use. Is there a way to reconfigure this so they are the same?

Re: New curves for macro controls racks

The chain selector for fading is not very good because 0 on the fade is not off, the signal comes in too hot and there is only 128 steps which makes it very jumpy.

Re: Transfer Function (Curve) for parameters mapped to macros

Also there seems to be a huge limitation with Smart in that the mappings are not contextual so that when you duplicate a rack containing a Smart device, the new Smart device is still mapped to the parameters in the original rack. According to Isotonik, this is a limitation in Live's API. I've also f...

Re: 3rd party plugins reporting "0 latency" cause phasing with looper

Seems like "Echo", "LFO" and max4live plugins also cause phasing in the example above.

I don't have that ticked. I tried all combinations of the latency controls.

Also realised this happens without looper - just recording from one track to another and back.

Re: 3rd party plugins reporting "0 latency" cause phasing

To replicate Create 2 channels, set input of each to the other channel. Add loopers to each channel, set to record 1 bar, turn monitoring in the looper to never and set to play after record. Add a 0 latency plugin after both loopers and disable it. Add a 1 bar clip to track 1 and play it. Turn on mo...

oh and I should say it doesn't matter if the plugin is on or off, just being present causes it.

Re: 3rd party plugins reporting "0 latency" cause phasing

Everything I've tried. - Endless Smile - WOW - bx_opto - all 0 latency psp plugins - Replika - Side Widener - Transient Master - and others. I found another weird thing - If I recorded into a looper from another track - it sounded fine. Then I added one of these 0 latency plugins after the looper. S...

3rd party plugins reporting "0 latency" cause phasing with looper

Hi, I've been doing some tests with the Ableton Loopers to record from other tracks in my set. (In Live 10). I place a looper on several tracks and record from other tracks, then I record from one looper to another. If I use any Ableton Audio Plugins that are 0 latency on the tracks I can record fro...

Re: Why Cue _OR_ Solo? What's the logic?

Yes and no. -- Mixers for DJ use have cue buttons but not solo buttons. -- Mixers for live audio and studio recording usually use pre-fader sends to create monitor (cue) mixes, and this can also be done in Live if the audio interface has enough outputs. What is the logic behind having only one or t...

Might the engineer not also want to solo and cue during same recording session? Are the two mutually exclusive on a desk too?

I'd like to be able to change the input source for a track via midi - is this possible?
