1) never had to wait more than something around 1.75 milliseconds for the startmenu to appear :) no i can't count that fast but there is just about 0 delay. Searching runs fine here. AND djgrobe, ableton live 7 latest beta runs just fine and smooth here :) BUT AGAIN check with your hardware. Or simp...

Quite the opposite.. I like the music but hate dancing :D I agree with the first post though. 25% of the people i told i was going to see tiesto@copenhagen (dunno if he's of your liking) mentioned drugs&E. I did NOT take any drugs, and i were mostly there for the music. Surely i danced but it probab...

Vista will probably be the last 32bit windows yes [ehm. Vista 32bit will be] the reason it goes so slow is that all the developers around have to make adjustments to make their things work under 64bit with advantages i suppose. You gotta use the 64bit registers or you would probably feel no real adv...

my question to you would be how often do you top out over 2gb? I was developing software generating statistics for heuristics using neural networks. If I had had this machine back then it would have been quite more interesting :) ALSO remember dealing with large data's are not uncommon these days. ...

As for the 4gb comment, what to do you mean that XP doesn't support 4gb? M$ says it does...can you give us a link to explain what the limits are? I think i explained it rather thoughtfully. XP Only allows 1 process to address 2gb memory. but here you go: Today's 32-bit Intel and AMD chips can addre...

moved this to first: ** AND NO XP DOES NOT SUPPORT 4 GIGABYTES OF RAM THE WAY VISTA DOES simply because it will not allow LIVE TO LOAD MORE THAN 2 GB. so for music production POW there you got the advantage of 64bit. AND IF YOU WANT 64BIT, vista IS the choice. ** Vista (64bit) has been running compl...

So you vote FOR battery :)
Well, i suppose with some distortion on the hats you can make
some rather interesting cymbals :)

But then again, effects and such are also a good thing to have..

For that kind of music I think you'd be better served with Vengeance + Live 7 (drum racks!). I just got Battery for $99 at musiciansfriend, pretty much for the sample library (12 GB!) - I like it for acoustic based drum sounds, but Vengeance has tons of great hard sounds. thanks for the input! Yeah...
