Re: Double-click to toggle full-window MIDI editing

Or maybe separate panel size for audio clip and midi clip?

Re: PIANO ROLL PETITION

One thing I liked in some other software is that I can temporarily switch tools holding a specific key.
e.g Holding "B" key to use brush tool then automatically switching back to the selection tool.

An option to swap Tab and Shift+Tab

As more and more people are using Live for music proudction rather than live performance and they tend to sped most of their work time in Arrangement view and the piano roll, I think it's good to have an option to swap behaviour of Tab and Shift+Tab. Currently Tab is for switching between Session Vi...

Re: Make Keyboard Shortcuts Rebindable (Windows)

The OP mentioned Blender and it has one of the best customisation option I've ever seen. When I used Unity and Blender for game development, Blender was so flexible that I had no problem switching back and forth. For a janky software I'd like to mention Clip Studio Paint as an example. The default k...

Re: Why no bounce in place?

Playing round with Bitwig Studio, I like how it implemented this feature. In Bitwig, people can just alt+drag & drop a midi clip to bounce it into an audio clip. Currently in Live, when a midi clip is dragged into audio clip there are two scenarios If the audio clip contains no clip, the audio track...

Re: Upgrade Piano Roll to match FL's for a better User Experience

Have you tried shortening and duplicating? Please stop suggesting workarounds. Although it's been a year and a few months since I switched to Live, I successfully finished some commercial projects and I'm pretty much aware all the features. If you want to split eight notes, which each lengths is di...

Try it with clips. Same deal. The only drawback would be if you wanted to split one and not another at the same spot.
You already know what's gonna be the problem. Ctrl+E is not enough

If they do it via keystroke, it should probably be the same Ctrl + E that's used to split clips. I think there's a suggestion for that.
But there is no way to select a note partially. Ctrl+E makes sense but it should't be the only option.

Re: Wasapi support for Windows

Pro tip:: Download fl studio and get FL ASIO driver. (I guess you can uninstall FL Studio then).
Some other audio softwares comes with similar solution but it's always good to have it integrated.

Re: Upgrade Piano Roll to match FL's for a better User Experience

I agree that FL is kind of bloated with features, but it also offers well-designed modifiers and good amout of shortcuts so in most cases people don't even need to switch tools. For cutting notes, I think ctrl+shift click (to cut only one spot) or drag (cut multiple notes) will be handy. Shift+right...

Re: Upgrade Piano Roll to match FL's for a better User Experience

I like Live’s piano roll simple like it is. It could use a couple small improvements like splitting notes, or applying grooves only on selected notes. But it’s perfectly viable as is and some of the comments here show that not enough time has been spent exploring its existing features and methods. ...
