Re: lots of crashes since upgrade to 8.2.6

Can you test something for me please? I created an loop, then broke it into 8 parts, added follow actions. Once I was complete with this I selected all and attempted to copy them into the library via the browser on the left hand side. When I dropped the files in the folder in the library, live had u...

Re: Propellerheads "Name Your Own Price" upgrade...thoughts?

Having already got reason 5 and record, we will probably stump up for the upgrade, mainly as it's 64bit :) not that ableton can make much use of that but I also use Sonar x1 so it will be handy to make use of for recording purposes atleast. That said, one thing i'm not happy about is the need for th...

Re: Live no longer stable . 'out of memory' issue outstanding

Can only use 4gb in 64bit win7 >..< Wish I had seen that before I stumped for the extra ram to take it up to 8gb lol. Out of curiosity, what sort of lengths are the clips you are using? I'm about to take ableton out tomorrow on the new lappy (providing I can get it all installed and create some set ...

Re: Scene launch with follow actions?

You mean Backing tracks kinda like Ashlee Simpson on Saturday Night Live did ? Not that extreme lol.... More like, 1 click for the drummer, 1 blippy sequence with slight variations over clips and maybe 3-4 live looping tracks for various instruments which would be routed via my mixer before it hits...

Scene launch with follow actions?

I'm attempting to port all of our current set into live and was hoping to be able to have ableton move through the scenes triggering all respective clips on said scene, then with follow actions after however many bars it would either move to next scene or end/stop. Is this possible? I would prefer n...

To upgrade or not????

Right, i've been toying with the idea of upgrading from Live 6 to Live 7....my only concern is that, if the version trend continues as past and happens soon, I will then have to pay AGAIN to upgrade to version 8. Do you think it's worth waiting it out for version 8 and just upgrading straight to tha...

It's a pity that it's only the use who can vote on it's leader considering people from the outside see things a lot clearer. And by that i mean.... Obama, Seems like a cracking bloke, well articulated and seems concerned with being able to help the USA get back on it's feet and get some respect back...

Need new laptop......any suggestions?

After jamming a few times with my band i've decided that we need a better laptop to allow us to use live and reason to it's fullest potential. I was wondering if there were any good laptops under the £1000 mark that would be worth looking at, available in the uk preferably. Do i go dualcore amd64 or...

I'd avoid mastering with the sub standard stuff in reason, get some decent plugs and do it all from there. Dont head for the loudest mix either, id much prefer a quiet yet clear with dynamics mix than an overpumped, over comped loudness mix anyday. As for doing it all in ableton lol...i couldn't tel...
