Re: Serious trouble with 8.04 I need help

If you are on a mac (don't know the details for the pc version but should be similar) you need to right-click on Live's icon then select "Open package". Then you'll find the preferences.cfg file in one of the folders.

Hope this make sense for you.

Re: Help me with midi-saving

When you are finished, press the MIDI sw...

Re: Help me with midi-saving

I don't know if I understand your question correctly. Do you want to save the mapping of your MIDI controller knobs to the vst various functions?

Re: Attempt at deep house

I really like your track. I thought it was very well produced and mixed. Shame it is so short because I enjoyed it a lot and would love it much longer. Anyway, thanks for sharing.

Re: creating dubby sounds?

Actually while I'm here does anyone know how to use the saturator as a limiter? I seem to recall that being discussed. Is it just a case of reducing the output? You might find that thread useful : http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=99472&start=15 People there recommend to use the saturato...

Re: Compact units for field recordings

I've got an Olympus LS-10. Quite cheap, no xlr but very good internal mics. Records in any format from mp3 128 to wav 24/96. I use it to record ambiences for tracks or specific sounds when I am outisde. Pre-amps can be a bit noisy in certain conditions but 90% of the time they're quite transparent. ...

Re: New down-tempo track

Thanks a lot guys for having taken the time to listen to my work and for your comments. It means a lot! @tlennon : "Too long to develop into the groove". I tried to balance up the atmosphere with the groove and I felt that a very long introduction was necessary to imerge the listener into that mood....

Re: CPU load bigger on live8 than on live7 ?

Same problem here + clicks and audio dropouts when loading up new effects or instruments while Live is running. Didn't happen with 7.15 for similar-sized sets.
