Fade in fade out on arrangement view

Hi,

I would like to know if it is possible to fadein a clip in arrangement view, without using the volume enveloppe, just like in sampler, where you have the note range and above the fade in fade out bar.

You can start the clip on the up beat, set the quantisation setting of this clip to 1/8, and start it on the "4-and-a". be sure to remove that eitth note at the end of your clip.

It is a good question. Since program change is effective at the beginning of the clip, what I would do is separate the scene in two, and have follow action (set to next) on each clip, and that way you could set the program change there.

Midi tempo automation in clips

Hi,

I tried to put a tempo automation in clips, without success. In the enveloppe editor section I can't find automation for tempo. Also I imported a midi file with tempo changes, and didn't work in Live 6, stayed at a fixed tempo.

Is it possible to have tempo change in a clip?

Thanks

Major bug in Live 6

Hi, I got a new VST (Galaxy II grand piano) that I wanted to load in LIVE. since the installation folder was different than the Live's VST folder, I decided that live should scan for its parent folder (Program Files...) Yep, big mistake as when it tried to scan for those VST, Errors came and Live Cr...

Export Sampler to other sampler

Hi I want to export a patch that I created in Sampler, to another sampler on another computer. It can be Halion, GigaStudio, etc. Or even Sampler! I just want to open the patch not a whole live set.

If only Sonar people can use Sonar's loops, you might was well just make regular .wav files and put the bpm in toe filename. The loops I made with Sonar automatically expanded in LIVE. Those loops can be used in any DAW. That would be a good thing If Live could do it too. I don't think Live has thi...

Thanks a lot for the answer Laird, my main concern was that at work they only got LIVE, at home I got LIVE and Sonar, so I got to do this at home.

the soundfle itself doesn't contain the information if you want it to play looped or not. It does have the information to loop itself, look at my first post, there is a diference. The difference between a normal .wav and a loop .wav is : normal wave's format is PCM [WaveFormat Header] loop wave's f...

Actually the tracks on the CD are around 45 seconds length and have the same loop going over and over for 45 seconds. then on the other track there is another loop going over and over. With Live I could loop the first bar then I saved it. (under 'show sample display') ...
