I didn't read any replies, but no offense to the original poster, but electro has been going on for 20+ years easily. If anything, electro is far past being freshness. I was heavily into AUX 88 in the early 90's, and that was even 15+ years ago. Electro has been around long enough where it will neve...

I have a NAS box running linux with 2 400GB sata hard drive setup to mirror each other with RAID. The network is all gigabit, and all laptops plug in to it and 'back-up' the entire drive usually once ever 2 weeks or so. No off site back-up cause I trust no one with my stuff. No offense world, but he...

Using any 'consumer' subwoofer is no doubt, a bad idea. They over hype a lot of frequencies, and will be pretty much no where near flat. I'd suggest selling it and getting a proper sub. The KRK is probably your best bet as it will be properly matched to your near fields.

Probably a bad idea to sell. I agree that staring at a screen writing music is boring as church. But live is a great 'tool' that you should always have in your arsenal. I'm all hardware too, TONS of it. I only use live maybe 2-3 times a month, but it's a great tool to have around. Buy it back, use i...

how tight can the arpeggiator be synced? you sync it with a click track right? thanks.. I'm actually not a fan of arpeggio's. So I can't really comment. I use software sequencing and trigger it through cv/gate. It 'does' have a clock input though, and in theory, you can use a click track although I...

Also, how many of you are using non-MIDI (eg, Gate/CV) synths? Quite a few. Like someone else mentioned, I'm also using a Kenton Pro-2000 with the DCB option. SH-101, Mono/Poly, Juno-60 are all controlled with the Pro-2000 They all have filter cutoff controllable with CV through the Pro-2000 also. ...

I agree that piracy hurts developers, but read up on the WUP (waves update plan) and I have no sympathy for waves. They treat the people who actually buy the stuff like garbage.

I would honestly be happy to see waves file for bankruptcy.

Do yourself a favor, NEVER support this company! Trust me.

Oh, my bad. I'd try to figure that out also, but the only M-Audio controller I have is a MidAir25. It's class compliant, so I doubt it will have problems. Hopefully this info is of use to someone still.

HOW-TO get M-Audio drivers to work in Vista ;)

I upgraded to vista out of boredom on my old acer notebook to screw around with this new OS. I ran into the same M-Audio drivers issue like all others, so I've figured out a work around. It took me a few hours to figure it all out, but it's working! I'm running my firewire audiophile without any iss...

Yeah, it's a very cool box! I got all the moogerfoogers (except the new freqbox) and they all sound amazing! They make a 'pedal adapter' thing that allows you to step through the filters, which imho is what makes this pedal. I trigger the filter steps with a midi/cv converter. WAY cool effects!!! Yo...

The hiss problem on the first units Yes, the + version was a big improvement over the regular version. The + version also added TRS (balanced) i/o if I remember correctly. and the 32khz samplerate (haven't found anything about the samplerate in the manual). I think the differece to 44,1 khz isn't m...

The operating system may seem strange at first, but once you understand it, it's a very versatile unit. You can get them pretty cheap, and even though they are dated, they aged well. Sometimes they are slightly on the hissy side, but if you set your levels well you wont have any issues. It has 4 dsp...
