I don't know about better, but TouchAble would surpass those needs.

Re: what is going on with the low end on sound cloud and youtube

From what I undertand, SC encodes all uploads as 192kbps mp3. If you upload an mp3, regardless of it's current bitrate, including if it's already 192kbps, it gets encoded again. So, always be sure to upload a wav file to ensure the minimum sound degradation. My guess with regards to other people's ...

Re: Do you use a launchpad? Open!

I made this overlay anyways to remind me plus reference some of the rarer functions without the manual. It covers all the basic global functions plus track, clip, drum, and scale modes. http://s13.postimage.org/5x7oqgkiv/launchpad_styleflip_final.jpg Do you have any more of those? That's the reason...

Jurassic Jerk; Skanner via Maschine Mikro

First stab with the Skanner synth gift from NI. The rhythm guitar is mine but all other sounds are from Maschine. The Bronto-sized wails are from Skanner.

Check out the agonizing Dino sounds on this track courtesy of Skanner. All the sounds are from Maschine except my rhythm guitar.

Re: Maschine Questions

I am not seeing anything the Maschine does that I cannot do already with my Roland Fantom X hooked to Ableton. I have 16 drum pads on the keyboard. I have watched people on Youtube making jams and I was able to quickly see how to do it with Ableton. I think there is a "fun toy" factor that is drawi...

Re: KORG padKONTROL or Native Instruments Maschine Mikro

Don't forget that Maschine ships with over 10 GB of cutting edge sounds, it can be used in standalone mode and can host 3rd party vst's. It has pretty good sounding drums too. And it's functionality is sure to be expanded by NI. I envision them developing it into a full fledged DAW someday.

Re: Live 8 Instruments as good as Native Instruments FM8, Massiv

I own Komplete 7 and a lot of other Native instruments. But if you know how to coax it(and I don't), you can get anything out of Live's instruments. I got a very convincing theremin patch from Live. I don't know if it's still there.

Maschine Mikro- where do I start?

I'm not new to Native Instruments nor music production. I know there's a learning curve to everything. So what's the fastest way to learn MM? YouTube vids?, the manual? I went to a NI clinic on Maschine last year but I don't remember anything. lol
