Re: Pitch correcting effect in Live

Well, ever heard of melodyne?

The stuff in the DAWs does not beat the flexibility of melodyne, so what is it good for ...? And the plugin version of melodyne make hardly any difference if any for the workflow between native or getting it right ...

Re: Synchrosoft copy protection + Mac OS X...

Well, my experience (you can also go over to vsl forum and read through the posts that deal with syncrosoft protection ...): the situation improved a lot over the last years, however, you will always be reminded that there is a syncrosoft dongle and it feels always fragile .... iLok and Wibu (Yellow...

Re: Free! SPL Attacker...

There are other interesting and good transient tools ... Voxengo TransGainer and Schwa transient monster. I think TransGainer from Voxengo with all the flexibility it has, it really nice ... And there is another free 'attacker' plugin that does not need any response code, supports surroud and everyt...

Re: I'm a bit confused: Ableton and Jitter?
umm.. Mainly because they charge exorbitant frees for the program by itself?
No, it is not exarbitant. If you want to do things that are possible with Max/MSP-Jitter - you either do it with that or you can spend a lot more on developing stuff yourself (assuming that time is m...

Re: I'm a bit confused: Ableton and Jitter?
What really confuses me about this is how Ableton can either A) Think to charge $$ for a feature most people will probably ignore or B) Give a $$ application like Jitter away essentially for free. I'm very pro jitter, but I can imagine a lot of people would rather see M4L cheaper than...

Re: I'm a bit confused: Ableton and Jitter?
Max for Live will included the Jitter suite, or at least Jitter objects show up in a screen shot on the M4L page. Anybody have any clue what these would be used for? I'm familiar with the program (and Nato 0+55 before it). What I'm not familiar with is how these objects will integrate...

Re: Follow Action: at end point, do X

I think it would be great to be able to set a specifc clip to be played after a pre-determined time. It would be nice if follow actions also supported high order musical structures like parts and if it could jump to a structure one might call 'next group' after a specific time. Of course on can do t...

Re: Waldorf blofeld

Hello,

a friend of mine has one ... Concerning the sound, I think it is ok ... for the money you get a nice little instrument ... No comparison to top notch hardware or software IMHO, but ok. The keyboard and manufacturing quality seems quite good as well.

Hope that helps

Re: Option to set sends as Wet/Dry Mix to Returns

I think the option to have sends pre/post fader/pan would be more in line and should be standard anyways ...

this way you can turn down the volume on the track without influencing the audio level of the send signal ...
