Re: Akai Apc mkII - Custom Button Assign - No lights

I've tried that, it didn't work. I don't think there's a way to do it. I've come up with a work around using your isotonik template but it's not ideal. Just mapping it twice once to the solo button and also to a grid button (mapped to a unused control) then when I press the solo on the clip will lig...

Re: Akai Apc mkII - Custom Button Assign - No lights

I think this is an oversight, it's crazy to not have the lights work with custom assignments

Re: Akai Apc mkII - Custom Button Assign - No lights

This wasn't the case with the apc40 mk1, it would still light up in correlation to the new assignment.

How might you send midi back to the controller?

Akai Apc mkII - Custom Button Assign - No lights

When you reassign buttons such as track mute, x fade, solo and rec to new functions, the buttons no longer light up. This is very annoying as it's useful to have the light feedback so that you know whether what you have assigned is on or off or max or min, depending on what is assigned. Has anyone e...

Why does Ableton automatically scroll left in Session view?

When working on a project that has a large amount of tracks it is necessary to scroll far left or right. However sometimes after scrolling right into a desired position Ableton of it's own accord will just begin to automatically towards the left until hits far left. Then if you scroll back again, an...

Re: Tips for People brand new to ableton?

I can suggest www.abletontuition.com - they offer video call training on all aspects of ableton live including djing, performance production etc. You can learn from home via skype/google+ etc. It's 1 to 1 training from an expert.

Apc40 mk11 - Red Box Relocate/Follow

I just upgraded from an apc40 to the mk11. I was using the isotonik le, with the relocate function on it so that I could follow along with my set easily without having to constantly bank through scenes and scenes. The isotonik le doesn't seem to work for the mk11, does anyone know of any alternative...

Yosemite VS Mavericks - Ableton Project Load Time

Can anyone confirm if there's any difference in the load up time for Ableton's initial load up with Yosemite in comparison to Mavericks?

Is Yosemite any faster?

Particularly interested in if it's any faster loading up large projects.

Follow Actions for Scenes

Having follow actions for scenes would so great for performing live. I currently achieve this with a workaround but it's very laboursome and problematic when you want to make changes. Now that I currently use my own ad hoc method for doing this I can't actually believe it hasn't been implemented yet...

I don't have dropbox on my mac mini, so it's not to do with dropbox in my case.

Live 9 - Load/Opening times on Mavericks = F#%$ing Joke

What's up with the loading up of live 9 and also opening projects on Mavericks? It is beyond ridiculous! I have a 2013 mac mini quad core and it takes longer to open projects than it did on my early 2007 computer. The other day it took 12 mins to open up live and then open a set. 12 f#$%ing minutes!...

Re: Octave Up/Down Midi Device

Look for how to build your own effects racks on YT and especially note the use of splitting up chains, defining their ranges and connecting the chain selector to a macro knob. What you would do is make a midi effect rack containing a number of pitch devices, each one going up and down as many octav...

Octave Up/Down Midi Device

I want be able to transpose existing midi note data in a clip up or down an octave by pressing a button, or actually two buttons one for up and octave and one for down. Is there a device or way of doing this? I don't seem to be able to restrict the pitch midi device to only move in octaves. This is ...
