Re: Using Ms Pinky as a VST for scratchin in my Ableton Live set
Mudo, do you think Ms Pinky scratches the clips warped in session view, or does it just reference the original clip source? e.g. my track is at 104bpm, I bring a beat (orig 95bpm) into session view (feeding Ms Pinky). Live auto warps it to match the track. Is Ms Pinky scratching the new beat's orig ...

Re: Using Ms Pinky as a VST for scratchin in my Ableton Live set
No worries Tone deft, I still think your idea is cool for the non M4L option, if you want to scratch stuff recorded live on the fly. Thanks Mudo, that link makes me want to get MFL even more now. The midi note triggering clip changes is really cool. Would never have thought of that 8) It's like a gu...

Re: Using Ms Pinky as a VST for scratchin in my Ableton Live set
@ rbmonosylabik: that's an interesting workflow, never thought of approaching Ms Pinky like that (in absolute mode). I used to use a Roland SP 808, which then became a SP 606 for gigs. Since migrating my set to Live I did miss that "sampler" type feel, so I integrated the PadKontrol for MP...

Re: Using Ms Pinky as a VST for scratchin in my Ableton Live set
thanks for the links mister. nice beats. I like how your setup is (from the video it looks like you've really sidelined your laptop/machine) so it makes your show look more like just an mpc and turntable style. that's an mpd 32? how are you changing your files for Ms Pinky? Are you doing it manually...

Re: Using Ms Pinky as a VST for scratchin in my Ableton Live set
@rbmonosylabik please post what you do with ms pinky. be cool to see. @$99 Ms pinky is a much more cost effective time code scratching option. and it was originally intended for video scratching, which i'm definitely going to venture into. the bonus is, as a vst plugin, i can jam my set in Live and ...

Using Ms Pinky as a VST for scratchin in my Ableton Live set
Hi, thought I'd share this clip with you, basically using Ms Pinky as VST in my Ableton Live set for timecode vinyl scratching. I have the plugin mapped to USER 2 of my Launchpad, so I can access it at anytime for scratching. I don't rate myself as a turntablist, but I do enjoy the odd wikki wikki t...

Re: performing with 13''macbook-experience-Big enough?!
13 MB works fine for me and i've been using it for gigs ranging from festivals to clubs. I've mapped all the stuff I need to my controllers, so when I change to another track, I only need to glance for a bit, to orientate, then playout the rest of the track just looking at my controllers. currently ...

Re: Thought's on Ableton's Sampler (vs kontakt and others)
the fact that you can drag and drop any audio files from the arrange/session direct into sampler is the winner for me. makes for a fast workflow wrt sampling. the lfo's etc are straight forward enough to get into the sound. i have kontakt3 as well, but use it mainly for the sample sounds bundled wit...

Re: Program used to label 3.5 flopppies
I still have a Roland W30 which loads samples on stiffies. they even have to be formatted as 700k and by placing tape over the one opening. I suppose also soon to be on the obsolete list. currently use a Roland SP606 for live gigs, which can only take a max of 512mb compact flash cards. even these a...
