I dont know if it's the same for you, but after many gigs, I have not anymore the "artistic stress" before I play my music in front of people. But I still have the "technical stress"... I cannot relax before all my setup is installed, tested and working well on stage. I never thought of a CD with my...

Export tracks to disk
This is a great function they had in Acid : the possibility to render a liveset to disk track by track in one click. Obvious use : to reimport the tracks into another sequencer (or into Live) for the final mix and postprod.

Hello. I'm not a dance music producer, so my technical advice would be useless. Anyway, I listened to the three tracks. They are really cool in their style, I enjoyed listening to them. Definitely the Third one is my favourite. It stands out and has something more than "just another piece of nice da...

More Keyboard shortkuts (specially in the file browser)
Hello. I'm an old Acid User, and I love the way Acid lets you do nearly anything with keyboards shortcuts. The first shortcuts I would ask for are in the file browser : it's a real pain in the a.. a real pain to click and re-click and scroll and re-scroll to explore my (huge) collection of samples.....

In some of my pieces, I use a dozen operators in a row... It's a breeze... Where is the problem ? Where is the need for an optimization ? Besides, I would not compare FM7 with Operator... Not the same ambition, not the same category, not the same number of parameters. Operator looks simple, but the ...

lanquarem is my Operator serial number... Just kidding. In fact this word occured to me one morning when I used automatic writing to start a novel. The first sentence was (in french) "Le Lanquarem pestait sous le pli dur des vaguelettes moutonnantes..." This means something like "The Lanquarem was i...

improve the selection of effects/operator/impulse/ presets
When you only have two or three presets for each effect, and a dozen impulse kits, it is easy to manage, but when you start having a huge collection (and trackteam's tacklebox helps a lot for this), clicking on the little arrow and scrolling in the menu is not very ergonomic. Why not a keyboard shor...

A simple question... When you compare the sound of "the audio engines" of different software, compared to the sound of Ableton, are you comparing comparable things ? I mean : If you add tracks to Live and then drag and drop samples from your hard drive, you'll end up with a collection of stretched s...
