Problem moving midi notes in clip view

Hi - wonder if any kind soul can help. When I'm editing notes in the clip view - if I click on a note / group of notes and try and move them - after a couple of seconds the notes ALWAYS become de-selected. I don't remember this happening in older versions of Live ( could be wrong though ). I'm findi...

Re: Ever experience radical changes in musical tastes/genres?

About a year ago I got into classical - BIG TIME ! I too have eclectic tastes which have evolved ( cycled ) through progressive, punk, soul, jazz, pop, indi, dance, electronica, experimental ... and even though I still dip into these - the shift to classical was quite radical. I've tried to figure o...

Re: Do you Twitter?

The only good thing about TWITter is that on the premise that 'things have to get worse before they can get better' ... surely they can't get much worse than TWITter - can they? CAN THEY ?? I can almost smell the green shoots of recovery ... By the way - the Daily Show had a cracking take on twitter...

sound quality in itunes on a mac

When I play 320kbps files in itunes they sound thinner and appear to have less authority than when played in quicktime. All sound enhancement and eq is turned off in itunes - and the original files were not converted in any way when they were imported - only the file link was imported. Playing some ...

Not wanting to trivialise anyone's frustration at a lack of implementation of a particular feature - but sometimes less can be more. At the heart of creativity lie constraints .

Totally agree ( apart from the smutty shower talk ... ) I couldn't bear all the negativity ... I just stopped checking the forum for a couple of days to let things calm down a bit ... and sat and and played the piano if I felt the need for a creative fix. I managed to create a loop type thing with m...

Just installed a 400GB Western Digital Passport drive in my MB - very straightforward , and no problems so far. Getting the casing off the passport was a bit awkward - but as long as you follow on-line instructions you get there in the end. Also ended up with a 160 GB external . OK - it might be slo...

There have been some very good refurb deals on mb's and mbp's recently. I bought a macbook - £650.00 - but have been disappointed by the video performance - the fan becomes v. noisy at the merest hint of any rapid movement - even the screen saver sends it crazy. I wish I'd have held out and gone for...

I figured a work around. If I hide the application before swapping computers - then when I swap back to the original computer - by choosing the application again - the original screen layout is retained - i.e it doesn't get reduced down to Macbook size. Sorted ! That will do me - an extra step - but...

Mac dual monitor question ...

I have a Macbook and Imac both connected to a Dell 24 inch monitor. When I use the input selector on the Dell to swap between the two computers - the Macbook ( using a DVI cable ) loses the screen configuration and reverts to a single screen set up - while the Imac ( using a mini DVI to VGA adapter ...

Disable keyboard value entry?

I assign the number keys on the computer keyboard to select tracks. However - if I've just adjusted something like the clip volume using the mouse - and I forget to click away from the volume fader - and try and choose a track with the number keys - a value gets entered for the clip volume ( usually...

:) thanks . I honestly thought you were having a laugh with the 'sales dude mcboob' ... just my paranoia - I had to google it to check.

If I go direct from the macbook to the imac - I wouldn't need to use a converter. I imagine they are a bit pricey ...
