it does .... but ....

Saving self-contained does save the Simpler files in the song file you are working on. However, if you move your folders / files - like I did - then when you want to use the patch in another song - Live cannot locate the sound file. It would be useful to be able to save all the Simpler files in one ...

simpler sound files - how do you save in a folder ?

I know how to create simpler patches - but how do you save the sound files into one location ? Is there a quick way of doing this ? I recently reorganised my song files / folders - and now when I choose a simpler patch Live can't locate the wav files.

Any ideas ? Thanks, Steve.

Several song files sharing same self-contained sounds folder

When you save a set self-contained - each song file ends up with it's own sounds folder. However - there are times when it would be useful to have several song files referencing the same sounds folder. I have discovered a way of achieving this - and as with many useful discoveries - it was by accide...

no comments about this .... ? I'm surprised - with all you control freaks out there. People often talk about the mini keys being unplayable - well this looks like a move in the right direction at least.

quality test

I just tried resampling a clip ( 24bit 44khz ) - then resampled the resultant clip etc to see how many times it would take to notice any deterioration. I did it 12 times and couldn't tell the difference from the original clip. Admittedly - the original clip was of electronic instruments - if I'd tri...

new korg microkontrol - with full size keys

Looks lke a new 4 octave korg microkontrol - the " korg kontrol 49" - appears to have full size keys - they certainly are bigger than the originals. 399.99 euro rrp. http://www.gearjunkies.com/product_info.php?products_id=13292&PHPSESSID=ea7dc2e75b323b3f2f33ea215b7ffa0f Looks like the original pads,...

thanks ....

OK .... which is not what would would happen if you were using normal rotary encoders - e.g I can use the Pocket dial to control any number of Simplers. If I set the filter frequency cut off value on one Simpler I don't want that carried over to the next Simpler when I switch to it. That's what I wa...

I don't get it?

I have the microkontrol in front of me. I create some scenes. Each scene is set up to transmit on a different midi channel. I follow the instructions on pg 41 of the manual - section {16} Quote - " this specifies the initial value of the encoders when selecting a scene. You can select either 000, 06...

Delays on the buses - then three come along

I only just found this out the by accident. If you have a dub type setup with different delay effects on different buses - and you want to send a snippet of a track to one of the delays you don't have to use a rotary midi control - you can use a momentary button which turns the bus send contol full ...

Impulse

Thanks for the tips guys - I like the gate tip Jamm ... I'll give it a go. "Is there any reason that this technique (as described in the first post of this string) couldn't be done with multiple Impulse's on separate tracks?" ( vdrum ) You can use the technique to trigger multiple instances of Impul...
