Re: Best MIDI guitar rig for Ableton 9
Greetings \m/ I was just jamming along to Hangar 18. Consider this another vote for the Jam Origin VST. I tried it when it was still in Beta, but man it's impressive. Latency is manageable, polyphony works well, and best of all no having to worry about extra hardware. Going the dedicated hardware ro...

Re: Updated Tarekith audio production guides
These guides are solid, and full of lots of good best practices. If you're learning production, you should considering them essential reading. I also recommend Tarekith's mastering services. He mastered Cyberia - http://seven7hwave.bandcamp.com/album/cyberia - my first album - back in 2012, and it t...

Re: Losing Mouse Pointer - Live 9 + Windows 8
I had this same issue several years ago. It turns out it was somehow related to the driver of the Logitech mouse I was using.

Re: LANDR - Instant online mastering
Here's an A/B: https://soundcloud.com/seven7hwave/jgqcahqjokkp Note that I raised the unmastered track's volume to approximate the mastered track. Otherwise comparisons are basically impossible. That volume difference is used all the time by mastering sites to make their A/B results sound impressive...

Cool vibe...especially with the vox helping to make a statement. How is the vibe there now, almost two years after the massacre?re:dream wrote:So I decided to do a track in one day. Soup to nuts

Glad you find it helpful. Heh I need to reapply my own damn advice; been too all-over-the-map lately, coming up with 100 different vibes but not finishing tracks.

It's paradoxical, but limitations can be awesome. Here's an article I wrote about the same topic: http://sessionville.com/articles/out-of ... creativity

Re: Anyone gigging with an iPad and Amplitube?
Ugh damn latency. The bane of digital audio. I wonder how much it's a function of the apps being run and audio being processed in the device, as opposed to the hardware. FWIW the Ampkit Link HD might offer better latency: http://forums.peavey.com:81/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=32374&sid=3c52d0108f5790090f2...

Re: Anyone gigging with an iPad and Amplitube?
Yeah, that's my main concern. To me that's a deal-breaker for using the 1/8". After doing some digging around, this seems like a very solid solution: http://guitology.com/line-6-sonic-port-review/, killing both the guitar input and line-level 1/4" output bird with one stone. It's $99, Line 6 knows w...

Re: Anyone gigging with an iPad and Amplitube?
Live as in actual live music venues, with a solid PA, soundguy and a board and the whole bit. Places where the audience is more likely to listen to the music with a critical ear. I'm a tone snob but also am willing to sacrifice convenience for tone to some extent. Do I miss the sound of my majestic ...

Anyone gigging with an iPad and Amplitube?
A few questions: - iRig is a good way to get a high-quality guitar signal into the device. However, this means that the sound output will need to come out of the 1/8" headphone jack. What are the best options for connecting to a PA? The Isopod looks like a decent choice: http://www.sweetwater.com/st...
