Re: Live 8 gets 64bit support.

So what's the deal with JBridge? Do you load jbridge as a wrapper? What happens when one of your plug-ins goes 64 bit, but it keeps the same plug-in name on a mac (so it's in the same folder)? Will it automatically replace the 32 jbridge version where you have that loaded in your projects? When u i...

Re: Live 8 gets 64bit support.

Just FYI.. I'm using Jbridge beta for osx (latest version) with Presonus S1.. As far as I know, it works great. Most of my plugs are already 64 bit except for a handful like soundtoys, and a couple more.. so yeah, all my 32 bit works in S1 DAW 64 bit.. I have NOT tried it in the latest 8.4 beta.. OS...

Re: Is Ableton dead?

So when the time comes that and your projects get bigger and require more RAM, maybe you'll get it.. Bigger projects make you what? More experienced or professional? Sounds to me you may need better Housekeeping habits... I never said that.. you maybe more experiened or more pro than I am.. ...

Re: Live file management / search

stupd question alert.. oddly enough, I don't think I use Live's file management/search. I mainly use "finder" on Mac.. is it because you guys turned off HD indexing (to improve ableton's performance, i think i heard that but maybe just making it up :P ) so you can't use finder/spotlight? told ya it ...

Re: Is Ableton dead?

I don't get why so many want 9 released so bad. 8 is amazing and very deep. It seems to me that every year they dont update it they are adding value to my purchase of 8. I mean how sucky would it be to buy 8 then in 12 short months drop 9. I hope they take forever to come out with 9. And when they ...

Every new kid on the block was going to empty this place. Reaper, Renoise, Sonar, lifetime updates with Image-Line, Logic, Cubase and now Bitwig. Sonar is an old program. Hardly a new kid on the block. Cakewalk started in 1987. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cakewalk_(company) Sonar is an old man. FL...
