OS X CPU usage peaked even when Live is stopped

It would appear that Live is extremely wasteful of CPU time even when idle in MacOS X. A quick experiment with my PowerBook G4/550 running 10.1.5: * Open CPU monitor, leave running in task bar. Near 0 CPU usage at this point. * Start Live with a blank set. CPU usage is now 60% or so when you just le...

Thanks for the Tascam US428/224 tip. I have a PowerBook G4/550, too, and I was thinking about getting the US224. Now I'll definitely keep it high on my list.

Most cool Ableton guys and gals, I'm sure this one has been mentioned before, but I didn't see it in this forum. I'd really like to see lead-in and lead-out on clips.
