Re: The Maschine & Ableton Love Thread ;) [upon user request]
actually 128 samples can be loaded on one pad if you choose I thought this worked only with the slice tool, so you got to make a big sample then slice it to be able to "APPLY" the multi-slice to one pad?? is there a way to drag and drop single samples on one pad keyboard notes? Sure is. Go into you...

Re: @ Tarekith [maschine&live]
Hmm..Oh yes...Maschine :D precisely! and the notion of that is away from the computer screen, back to basics and music itself, if you don't like it, maschine is NOT for you, it's that easy!!! just about to check the first time how tight the midi clock is... fun fun fun. not as a plugin within Live ...

Re: @ Tarekith [maschine&live]
^^^ to be honest, i did not figured (or cared) much about maschines terminology yet, i just load sounds onto pads in groups (like bank A drums, bankB bass, etc.) and created a few patterns per sound... and then just jam the hell out of it, on the fly. that is so much fun, not much thinking involved...

Re: @ Tarekith [maschine&live]
Question for you: Say I've got four pads, and each pad has three slices underneath it (accessed via keyboard mode). Is there a way to either combine all the slices onto one pad, or extract the slice from every pad and map it to a new group? I've tried 'Apply To' in the 'Slice' menu and it works (put...

[FS] Korg Mini KP - Have a bargain...
Further clearing out the shelves of gear after buying the Maschine and found this. Korg MINI KP. Great cond; only studio use. In original box but original manual has been misplaced (I've done a print of the PDF from Korg's site). £60 delivered to anywhere in the UK. 70EU if anyone in France/Germany ...

Re: @ Tarekith [maschine&live]
It's 'cos the patterns aren't unique to the scenes, dope! yes it's nice, but to be really "dope" IMHO maschine needs to be updated, so as to get the ability to trigger "scene pattern slots" within scenes, i.e, like in live, the ability to trigger "group X-scene3-pattern slot" without triggering the...

Re: @ Tarekith [maschine&live]
OK, i am still learning this thing fully myself, but it is by far the fastest way i ever made music, it is lightspeed compared to all other possibilities i ever had my hands on... i made today my fiirst attempt to make a full track with maschine (standalone), i still need to learn stuff and get int...

Re: @ Tarekith [maschine&live]
I love this box. It is frickin' brillant! From using an MPC, the two worlds cross right over; I'm finding that stuff that I'd intuitively do on an MPC, I can do exactly the same (if not quicker) on the Maschine hardware. I haven't actually touched the software interface for anything other than addin...

I feel part of a nice clique! =D
Just got to MAKE time to use it. It's looking like a half-hour here or there at the moment. So, so, so, so, so good.

Mac. Always a Mac. You can pick up a White Macbook (2.16Ghz or there abouts) for around £450/£500. Fantastic machines, they 'just work' and even an older model won't become out of date like a PC will.MACKENZIE303 wrote:Thanks, I appreciate that,, i'll get on it, what should i buy PC or MAC?
