Re: New Live 9.5 and Missing Media files on ALL OF MY TRACKS!!!

"Collect All and Save" is your friend in this situation, or would have been the way to go initially so your samples weren't lost in the shuffle. I'm guessing the samples got saved within your live sets/track folders, and are still linked to the old path and were not copied to the new location you sa...

Re: Complete Beginner - Need Help Getting Started

You might be hopeless if the included lessons that show up the first time you used Live weren't helpful at all.

If you skipped over them entirely.. go back.

If you want to waste money before you have a clue.. check out some of the links others provided ;)

Re: Motu Ultralite MK-3 Reverb routing

Thanks for posting that. I've been curious about using the DSP stuff, but had plenty of reverb plugins to keep me ignorant about figuring out the routing and messing with cuemix :)

beats me wrote:This probably falls under “TOO SOON!” but anybody know how to reskin this thing? Its hands down one of the ugliest GUIs ever created. I’d gladly pay an upgrade fee if they did nothing more than kill the default GUI.
skins are supposed to be part of v3

Re: Any Mpd32 owners around

click the chain button, select all the notes, right click and "distribute ranges equally"

then map the chain selector to a macro knob (it should be where the note names were located before you clicked "chain")

however there's nothing there to download, just a note saying "This repository is empty."

cheers

Re: Is Ableton going to get on board with mobile or what?

It's bad enough designing software for 2 main platforms and the endless hardware configurations.. add on multiple mobile platforms and inconsistencies between available features for developers and you'd have a real mess on your hands. I personally could care less about a mobile version of Live.. I h...

Re: SOLVED - CPU SPIKES IN LIVE 9

Anytime I see someone post about buying a new computer that performs worse than their "old" system this is exactly what pops into mind..

How is Dell going to know what you plan on using the computer for ? :) They set a balanced profile that's a good starting point for the "average" user.

Re: Argh! New Desktop, Shocking Track Count

What are your power settings? High Performance? Balanced? Battery Saver? Could be the bios settings for speedstepping running your cpu below spec? ie.. what have you done/not done to a fresh install to prepare it to be an audio workstation? I'm on high performance through windows system settings. O...

Re: I have Ableton Push and don't know anything about music

you must have money! that's an awfully big purchase for someone who doesn't know anything about music. there's tons of online courses you can drop a wad on to get you started if that's the case. Ableton Live, believe it or not actually comes with some tutorials & lessons to get you started. They're ...
