Re: I have Ableton Push and don't know anything about music
you must have money! that's an awfully big purchase for someone who doesn't know anything about music. there's tons of online courses you can drop a wad on to get you started if that's the case. Ableton Live, believe it or not actually comes with some tutorials & lessons to get you started. They're ...

Re: Is anybody here good at making acapellas?
if the movie has 5.1/surround audio you might be able to extract the center channel, and you'll likely end up with a clean sample as the music/background is usually sent through the L & R front/back speakers and dialog though the center.

Re: What are the lines over the midi files in arangment ?
There's a lot of lines in that pic.. could be grid lines, could be the lines around the clips, could be the midi notes in the clips.. hard to really tell what you're asking about specifically.

Re: PULL v2.2 released Touchscreen Ableton Device/VST controller
Just wondering if there's any reason not to use Max 7? It seems really stable. It's still free. Initially I was having a lot of dropouts with Max 7 - I could see in the signal chain that it was the PULL device dropping the signal as the devices before had signal, and the ones after did not. The sam...

Re: WHY DOES ABLETON ALWAYS DO THIS?!
Yes, that is annoying. What I do is 'Save As' to a new location, like to your desktop. Then do a 'Collect All and Save'. That always works for me. My brother and I have had that same problem many times and it seems to always happen when I 'Collect All and Save' in the original project folder. Maybe...

Re: Two turntables for ableton - plugin for scratching
Oh, fear not, the manual is coming. It's fairly similar to scratch track in terms of setup, so you can see the reference docs below for some general info. http://www.stagecraftsoftware.com/products/scratchtrack/vinyl-setup/ I'll have a setup video and docs in the next month too though. Thanks, I en...

Re: Two turntables for ableton - plugin for scratching
few pointers on how to work this would be cool. :) plugged in my sl4, with techs and timecodes running, and for the life of me can't figure out which buttons i need to press to pick up my control vinyl movements. was able to select serato timecodes, and load samples to each deck, but beyond that i'm...

Re: KMI QuNeo: mapping macro controls + editor while using Live
The beauty of the QuNeo is COMA mode. Make sure you read up on this in the manual, as this is where it really shines in customizing each pad/fader/rotary to behave how you want it (pressure, x axis, y axis, etc..) hint: hold the circle pad down in the top left corner until it turns blue - now you're...

Re: Gain Staging Master Volume Issue
Not sure, but you can probably just stick a Utility on there and set the gain -6db to get more headroom so the master fader doesn't move from 0db

Re: Radio type sounds in my recording
Use a FM Transmitter to transmit the guitar parts to a radio frequency and record the audio from an actual radio (if you have one) as you tune in and out of your guitar parts.
I'd skip trying to recreate it 'in the box' personally, but I also have a fm transmitter for my ipod, and reciever
