using the /3gb switch on your windows boot: The /3GB switch changes the way the 4GB virtual address space is split up. Instead of splitting it as 2GB of user mode virtual address space and 2GB of kernel mode virtual address space, the split is 3GB of user mode virtual address space and 1GB of kernel...

NEVER EVER book this guy. And if you are playing a show with him, do not show him any respect whatsoever. +1000 on the not booking.. had a bunch of our partygoers asking about booking him.. so we went forward inquiring about availability/etc.. to see if it was possible. spent 2 weeks waiting for a ...

any speed up that's been mentioned for sp3 is going to be walking about sp3 vs a xp base install before sp1.. if you've kept up to date on the latest windows updates - sp3 isn't much of a difference - it's just an all in one package to get things updated to the latest fixes. xp sp3 still beats out v...

make sure you disable any onboard or other soundcards you have in your system. i had issues starting live with my x-station plugged in via usb & having my external m-audio audiophile going at the same time.. ended up ditching the audiophile and used the x-station integrated sound instead.. not a pro...

i believe it might run, but not use all 4 cores effectively without a re-install of the base OS.. i remember this being the case when dual core machines came out.. people swapped chips - and wondered what all the fuss was about.. little did they know only a single core was being used as that's all X...

definitely need grouping.. im sure it would have an impact on the sluggyness of the arrange view when zooming/panning around if there wasn't a ton of tracks all being shown all at once. maybe.. it's obviously possible with their implementation of drum racks.. just hope it's not included as part of a...

If you're already up to date with your windowsupdates.. the sp3 isnt going to do much of anything since you'd likely have all the patches installed already. It's just a collection of every patch made to the operating system since it came out rolled into 1 "easy" installer. Here comes the pedant ins...

I'm sure there's huge speed improvements over the final release of XP (before any service packs) - which is what I believe any articles stating XP over Vista for performance were basing their findings on.. XP patched to sp3 vs Vista patched to sp1 .. If you're already up to date with your windowsupd...

i believe if you go into the warp settings, and under loop/warp short samples - select unwarped one shot - will drag most small loops & hits unwarped, and also play them back in the browser unwarped

cheers

I think the best is using hardware profiles 1 for the internet 1 for music After you just have to switch session. Anti-vir software runs a lot of thing in the background depending wich one you use. You can also learn vbscipting a bit, it's not that hard and it gives you a lot of power over windows....
