Take a look at the Arturia website (really sluggish at the moment). They have a new hardware (!) synth (based on Sharc DSPs) that remembers me a little bit of the PPG Realizer ;-)

Simpler should read sample loop settings

Some WAV and AIF files includes sustain loop settings in their file headers. Sampler can read these settings already. Unfortunately, Simpler not.

We all disable fancy graphics on our audio workstations normally, right? Not more. In the 90s this was essential. Since Win XP it is wasted time to disable all the eye candy stuff. The most reputable german computer magazine c't has checked all these XP tuning tricks in detail. Conclusion was: 99 %...

What happens when you disable all the fancy graphics? Because Live seems not to be compatible to Aero, the "fancy graphics" will automatically disabled by Vista as long as Live is running. In my opinion if you want to edit video, buy a video editing program. Adding video editing features to live would go a long way to making it bloated and more annoying for those only needing it for music production.
