Take a look at your menu bar: Your MacBook isn't running at full speed. I would check the energy settings.

Go to kvraudio.com and use the search funktion. There is a Universal Binary checkbox so you can generate a UB plug-in list.

Re: Macbook audio drop-outs!

I have a stock blackbook, with just 512 ram, but im getting audio drop outs with just 3 or 4 loops playing. It's strange, the cpu meter will be at 10-15 percent usage, then ramp up wildly and I get clicks and audio drop out issues. Your MacBook needs more memory to run Live properly. Simply add a 1...

Re: Extreme loading time for some EIC instruments

When loading EIC grand piano it takes about 12 minutes and more while cpu is heavily working to it's max thus invoking other programs or just the task monitor takes very as if the whole system hangs. Anyone with same experience or even better with some ideas how to solve this problem? Thanks Kai Sa...

Agreed ;-)

All the preset-related stuff should be a part of beta testing.

After the firmware update the MacBook is much cooler, but also louder (the fan comes earlier). The annoying "moo" noise is also gone with the update.

Re: Are MacBook problems solved by now?

How big is enough? Today I use 15GB of a 40GB HDD under Windows. Not being a pro I record max at 48khz 24bit, 96Khz is out of discussion. I saw that from 60GB to 80GB the fare is 50 Euros while 60GB to 100GB is 150 Euros... A boy in the Mac Store told me that changing disks drives viods Guarantee.....

Do you think to be sure a MacBook Pro might be better?
Maybe the next revision of MacBook Pro. However, I would save the money and go for a MacBook with 2 GB and a bigger HD.

Re: Installing Live Packs

Minor issue: When (on OSX at least) multiple .als files are selected for install, only the last one is installed. The other selections are ignored. Same in 5.2.2. It's nasty because you have to remember which packs are already installed and which not. Minor issue? Not in the moment you have to inst...

6.0.1: Crash after installing Live Packs from desktop

When Live is closed and I double-click any Live Pack (e.g. factory stuff from Live 5), Live crashes after installing the Live Pack. When I use the menu to install a Live Pack everything is OK. This bug is reproducible. BTW: All the presets of Live 5 packs will be installed into the wrong directory. N...
