Live has some stuff I really would like to see in Traktor, and the effect handling is great. (that's why I reroute Traktor through Reaktor). My most wanted features are in Traktor Pro now (better effect handling and cue quantizing) But... it may be me, but I'm bored with this "endless possibility" s...

my personal summary: live has more possibilitys, traktor with it's loop functions and multiple waveforms and many other small details is way better adjusted for djing. I found out, that I actually don't need a powerful system like live for this and that I come to better results with a "simpler" setu...

it's low video ram compared to up tp date video cards, but ableton is 2d not 3d. I don't think this can be an issue. a uncompressed picture with 1920x1200x32 bit is only about ~9,2 mb big. I'm more interested if more people have a sluggish GUI (with high resolution screens), I just want to know if t...

let's discus GUI lag in Live

hi, I really want to know how you feel about it. For me it's ok, but it's not "that nice" that the GUI feels really sluggish sometimes.. like when you have a low frame refresh rate. I have a dualcore 3800+, 2 gb ram, nvidia gt6800 (256 mb ram) and thwo screens (24" for live and 17" for plugin window...

What do you mean with Drag and drop GUI. A user configurable GUI?

If yes, 1++ - it would be so great so see more than one waveform or to see more than one FX setting from one channel. You could build some kind of your personal performance view....

I have to make an addition, it would be super nice if a part has a coloured background. I find it hard to overlook big arrangements in live with all the grey. coloured background http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/8889/trackcolorkopieed4.gif http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/trackcolorkopieed4.gif/...

Khazul: yeah I think it's possible, but I think only with a filter function or something like that (wrote something about it in this thread). I guess you can call it jitter suppression. just for clarification: I think one problem, besides the timing in general(!), is that every little drift from the...

adventurepants_: the timing via midi clock may be ok for triggering events, but it always will drift a bit. (in reaktor for example you have a more precise display for you bpms... you'll see it). As in Live (due to warp ) audio is connected to the master tempo, every slight drift in your sync will h...

(midi clock can't be tight as hell). Why not? I used to sync my MPC2000 off MPC2000XL using midi clock and it was as tight as *insert your favourite euphemism/simile for "something extremely tight" here*... Are you saying midi clock in general can't be tight as hell?? My experience with MPCs says o...

ollyb303:(please say software, please say software, please say software....) jap software. and same problem, need a tight as hell sync. in the meantime I think live has a real basic problem with midi clock slave because it always will affect the audio and timing due to nature of it (midi clock can'...

someone out there has synced Live stable to a midi-clock?

I now this is common, but I'm close to say it doesn't work. I spend the last two days in the forum and tested almost everything. * reaktor for example is absolute stable when I use it as a slave via midi-clock. * every time I try that with live I have a timedrift or better jitter. can't get the temp...

yeah I've tested that too. the problem with relative is that it has a different "scrub behaviour" then absolute.

with absolute you jump to the next or last measure (13->14 or from 13.2-> 14)

with relative you jump a measure (from 13.2 ->14.2)
