Re: Live 8 gets 64bit support.

Wont M4L run as a 32 bit app under a bridge of some type
Most 64 bit daws can run 32 bit plugs (there are still a few about I use like Imposcar 2), but I guess M4L is more fundimentaly intigrated.

I have Max 6 and M4L, probably run the 32 bit and the 64 bit (beta) when available!

Re: Won't advances eventually make musicians near obsolete?

A musician (by definition) is composes, conducts, or performs music I think technology has changed what we mean by a musician. Is a DJ a musician? Is a producer a musician? |If you buy a loop construction kit, chain them together and add a few effects, are you a musician or a producer? (or playing t...

Re: Virus TI2 VST

powercore hardware has been discontinued so there are some great bargins about, I have seen PCI card with Virus go for £250 on ebay and the other plugs that come free with powercore are great (I'm still a big powercore fan and use the powercore Virus all the time,,,)

Re: Ableton.Suite.v8.2.1.MAC.OSX.INTEL.ISO-ArCADE

It's pretty simple realy, if you want something, you earn some money and than you buy it. If a car is expensive or overpriced is it OK to steal it from the manufacturer? If you can't afford the car you want to drive, it OK to steal it from the manufacturer? If you don't buy your software and you cho...

Re: Key Detection, Simple Transpose

Great Idea on the global transpose, just need some sort of 'do not transpose' selection on the grid for drums etc.

Transpose by Scene would be most useful, with the option to select 'no transpose' clips or columbs.

Key Detection, Simple Transpose

Hi Just bought Live 8 and MPC40, was (and still am) a cubase 5 user. I had used ACID before for looping and, although I prefer Live, miss the simple key changing (as in the ACID loops contain KEY information and be can transposed individualy or on mass (all song) from diferent keys to the sae keys w...

Its a little pathetic slagging of Steiny, How quickly people forget that they invented ASIO and VSTi and fx (that you are probably all using in Live)- I have had Cubase since atari days and still remember the total 'magic' of VST....from MIDI only to recording AUDIO on a computer drive!! Live 4 is g...

Thanks loophead, I had read the threads but wasn't sure ifd this would be the case with the non-beta vertion. Bit of a pain having to switch between H/T (cubase) and non H/T (live!) Cubase definately does work better with H/T on...but they had to code in the option and have a 'multiprocessor' box to...

Whats the verdict on Hyperthreading?

I get very poor performance on my hyperthread enabled PC (3.2) - whats the concensus- just turn it off? (Live 4) - sems a shame that H/T doesn't seem to work with live 4

If you order the box you get the instant download- so no waiting + a nice box/manual and CD.

+ if you ever need to sell it (god fobid) its easier to sell a boxed product!
