GRS, thanks-

yes that is possible, but sending out a *group* of MIDI notes with one tap of a MIDI pad/key is not what i'm after, really.

ability to "step through" a sample or recorded MIDI sequence with one MIDI key. each time you "tap" the key, it advances (1/16, 1/8 etc. assignable) through the sample or sequence. a parameter to set the length of stoppage before returning to the beginnging of the sample or sequence would be cool to...

"step through" a sample or MIDI sequence w/ 1 key

(sorry for the double post, forgot to log in before) I guess the best method for my request would be to have a way to do some sort of "MIDI map" within a single cell's sample. in "clip view" there'd be some parameters to assign a MIDI controller to step through that clip's sample (who's waveform wou...

the reason i want to do this actually is for v-drums (roland). so i can make a MIDI track with say.... a v-synth (green oaks?), put a horn stab in cell #1, then put a second stab in cell #2 but one octave higher, so on and so forth... down the cells in a single MIDI track. THEN, i would set up a sin...

can Live 4's MIDI do this?

1. set up a single MIDI key to step through a MIDI channel cell's MIDI sequence. -or- 2. step through a MIDI track's cells (1st key-hit does one-shot of cell #1, then advances automatically to cell #2, next key-hit plays one shot of cell #2, etc, etc, etc... advancing down the MIDI track's cells... ...

"step through" MIDI w/ one key?...anybody??

can Live 4 do this? Roland's v-drum sound modules have a built-in feature called "TAP" that allows you to assign a single drum pad to "step through" a pattern/sequence. So, for example- configure the "ride cymbal" pad for this "TAP" feature and each time you tap that pad it advances one 1/8th note (...
