Re: Random Midi from Trigger Finger?

I had a similar issue the last time I updated to Ableton Live 8.* (can't remember what update it was). But only with 1 knob. It started sending random numbers to the devices I had it locked on. I've now unbound these devices which seemed to have solved the problem. See, I only use it to play my drum...

Re: Ableton EQ Question

Hey Joefro, Welcome to the Ableton Forum ;-) I think your approach is the right one: Don't get into all this plug-in downloading if you don't have to! Just stick to Ableton Live if it suits your needs. I'm sure you will find almost everything to make good songs inside of Ableton Live. Only once you ...

Re: Analog With Soundcard

... hmmm, don't know if that will help with only your own digital soundcard.
But nowadays I do always run my basslines through my Moog MF101 and sometimes with my Boss DD7 Delay pedal behind that, even just to double it with the original track. It adds "something" to the sound.

On-the-fly highlighting in Clip View

Don't you just hate it when after you were jamming away with some melodies or effects over a part of song for 20 minutes, you have to retrace the whole session to find that one bit that would fit your song to stick it in. Imagine this: You're jamming and you play the part just right after x times, o...

Re: Field recorder

I'm using M-Audio Microtrack 2 and am pretty happy with it. A lot of times I use the guitar recordings straight from there, just because I like the sound of it. Only issue I have with it lately, is the battery lifespan... The first year I had it, it was perfect, but since a few months it drains the ...

Re: Play the pitch of single instance of Simpler in Drum Racks?

Just put a "Chord" Midi effect (yes, it's in the midi effects folder) before the simpler and change the values. Need more that 8 different pitches? Put another chord before that ;-)

Re: How do you chop up samples on a MPD like you would on a MPC?

I don't know if it's exactly as with the M-Audio Triggerfinger, but I just right click a sample and slice it to Drum Racks. You can set the amount of slices I believe. My Triggerfinger is a 4x4 grid that matches the Drumrack so then you can just start jamming away. What you're mentioning about the "...
