Re: Which audio interface for Ableton & MacbookPro?

I use the MOTU Ultralite and, even though it might seem like overkill in your case, I could not be happier. I know that literally anything I want to do with this baby I can do. It's small and solid and sounds great.

Re: Music Production Beginner Seeking Help From Experienced Pros

Next time you are contemplating a new purchase, think about how much more valuable that time could be used making music. I have all kinds of stuff and I find that most of the time, I am sitting on my porch with my laptop and some Grados, drinking a beer and chopping samples. Pity I had to spend thou...

Re: Way to input midi notes with just keyboard (Mac)?

Also keep in mind that Ableton registers upper case and lower case letters as different keys. This means you can essentially double your number of key maps. Not to mention Cmd+Shft+K to get in and out of musical keyboard and you are set!

+1 on just transposing the vocals. You can also use an envelope to change the transpose amt throughout the clip.

Re: Launchpad : tips n tricks, ideas, suggestions

Here is a video that I made that shows some of the tricks that I use with Launchpad with Drum Racks. The first is to add LED feedback with Drum Racks (as per the novation video). The second is to tailor the color of the LED feedback to my liking. I do this not only for aesthetics, but also so that I...
