Much as I agree with you on the commercial flogging of the sound, Farq Me, I'd love to have the bugger's money and if I did, I doubt I'd give a shit about my cred in internet forums.

Re: Reggae Section

I remember my guitar teacher trying to explain playing reggae when I was a kid in the 80s...It always sounded mechanical and all too polite and contrived. Eventually he said fuck it, go get drunk and play along with some Bob Marley...didn't quite get there straight away, but it was undoubtedly sound...

Re: Maschine or Software I already have with MPD or Pad Kontrol?

Although I do think that some people should learn it the hard way like I did to truly appreciate what makes Maschine so awesome. I went from MPCs, RM1X, Electribe ESX, Sounds like a very similar background to myself....seems like it might be time to start checking the bank balance....I have an MPC5...

Re: Maschine or Software I already have with MPD or Pad Kontrol?

Definitely seems to bea lot of love for Maschine around here. I already have Komplete and really enjoy the quality of NI synths. Are there any negatives/pitfalls that I should be prepared for?

Maschine or Software I already have with MPD or Pad Kontrol?

Hi all, I'm contemplating buying Maschine in the never ending pursuit of producing better beats. However, I'm sort of thinking, I have no shortage of samples with the likes of RMV, Battery, Toontrack EZ Drummer as well as iDrum and Drumaxx. So, I'm thinking maybe buy a MPD although truthfully I'd ac...

Re: Hardware synth for angry bass? :)

My personal (and i stress that it is simply my feelings on the subject) view is that if you are after an "angry" bass sound, possibly these VA synths are a tad cuddly. If I am trying to convey anger, i actually lean towards a more digital sound sometimes FM but often earlier romplers. A personal fav...

Re: Dustbuster reccomendations? [animal hair]

Seriously, the Black and Decker kicks ass. I use it on the carpets bit by bit as it is more effective than any of our full size lumps of shite (including a Vax and a Dyson)

Really happy with this purchase, Seems to add a whole lot of sounds that are just that bit different from the norm. Definitely worth 20 bills. :D

Looks absolutely great, but I'll be honest, I am wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too stupid to get even close to remembering all those functions from each mode unlabeled. :?

Re: Which instrument do you like Programming/composing the most?

I usually find that when I go back to my roots and just start banging out random chord progressions on my guitar and humming potential melodies that I am in a far happier place than when I'm struggling with the technicalities of composition through technology.

Re: Alchemy: Planet Earth

Well I guess I am the sort they are after. I was a Cameleon 5000 user way back. Loved the sound of Alchemy and it's interface, I got the Cameleon for Alchemy soundbank for free and then upgraded to the full deal, now I am about to purchase another Soundbank at half price...so they are making their m...

Re: Why don't macs get Viruses?

In all seriousness, every time one of these Macs don't get viruses threads come up, without fail, we are informed of the theoretical possibility of Macs potential to get viruses. A more pertinent question would be, how many Mac users here have actually ever GOT a virus? Like most (I suspect) I have ...

Re: Remote SL MKii 25 and Live 8.1.3 (an angry post)

Some years ago I was majorly impressed with Novation as a company when I purchased a Supernova...My opinion has dropped significantly since then...SLmk1 that just totally failed to deliver on the hype, a launchpad that continually freezes and now SLMkII that still does not deliver the smooth and sea...

True, not the greatest way of protecting your license, but lordy my, is that any different from the likes of iTunes...just back up your digital purchases. I remain absolutely impressed by Hugo's rapid response and willingness to fix my issue....I'll say it again...BACK UP!
