GOLDBABY!!! Now THAT is customer Service

Just purchased the Home Keyboards pack from Goldbaby this evening. Now out of my own stupidity I did not pay attention to the fact that the default setting was to opt in to an extended warranty for about a fiver. Now, it is not the cost but the principal that most such warranties are opt in, not opt...

Re: Pendulum vs. entire DnB genre

Ohh God! Not another band selling out in the name of commercial success. I have only just found out about this mob, and I fucking love in silico. I don't give a rats arse that they have offended a bunch of pretentious wankers who think that their little niche of dance music is somehow important. The...

Downloading Latest Versions

Just a quick question. Am I the only person that finds when downloading Live from Ableton, 9 times out of 10 the first attempt fails just as you get to the end, then works fine the second time? BTW, for me this has been the case for a number of years, different versions, different computers, differe...

Re: Buying my first synth help needed

@Jacqueslacouth You would hesitate to recommend this synth because it is very new ??? And it appears flimsy in build and sound wise ??? Did you had one in your hands already? When not your opinion is completely worthless. Have a close look at the amount of wiggle in close up of the videos on the fa...

Re: How's Windows 7 these days?...Thinking of switching from OSX

Hi, Using Win 7 at work and I recently bought a low end Compaq laptop for the wife to take away with her. I have been very impressed with its stability and am planning on doing some test runs with Live and Reason with a few plugs to see how it goes. I have been on macs for 4 years now, I like them, ...

Re: Buying my first synth help needed

A Computer made for learning is Rolands brand new, incredible sounding Gaia SH-01. I have learned from the Roland SH-201. I really love this instrument. But the Gaia SH-01, the successor,is better. I would hesitate to recommend this synth. It is very new, appears flimsy in build and sound wise........

Re: Anybody thinking of buying a mac...

Well I realise this probably bucks the trend of platform shifting. I switched to Mac in early 2006 with the advent of Intel iMacs. Generally I was very happy with the stability of OSX compared to Win XP and thought I would never entertain a return to PCs. However in the last month I bought the wife ...

Re: Should I add MIDI to my guitar...? MIDI Guitar gurus, HELP!

From the little experience I've had, I would say leave it well alone. If you listen to the computer VSTi/Synth types moaning about the latency problems while playing keys. As a rhythm guitarist, if you are playing fast choppy style (ska), sorry, don't know the correct term, midi just does NOT keep u...

Re: The Stupidest Out of Place Sound in a Track Ever ????

I remember doing a vocal track way back in the day, the bass player was doing the lead and needless to say it had been a long hot summer day in Sydney with too many cooling ales. Anyway, some stupid fuck comment had been made and Pete started this most ungodly high pitched girly laughing right throu...

The Stupidest Out of Place Sound in a Track Ever ????

A bit of a random one here, But I'm sitting here listening to Human League and that gunshot sound in Seconds has to be the dumbest sound I have ever heard in the middle of a track amongst some of the most awkward production I have ever heard on what is basically a good song....any other contenders????

Re: 30 days sober

I offer congratulations to ANYONE who maintains sobriety IF that is what they seek. However, I will lay my cards on the table, I get drunk once a week, I mean absolutely blotto. I lock myself away in my studio with a bottle of Jack every Friday and generally polish it off before bed time. I am 43 no...
