Shit, I'm still trying to figure out how Live affects DJing. I think that's more you're question- the APC is perfect for Abletoning. 8 tracks, many banks. DJs- we don't need 8 tracks. A few years ago Ninja Tune came out with a record of horn stabs by a fellow named Raphael Corderos, I believe. Made for sampling. You could try and find that.

Yeah, nudge by track is one of the features I asked for last year in that online poll they sent around.

But it would be interesting to know how many samples one "nudge" corresponds to when quantization is off- it must be a set amount don't you think?

I don't think you can do that in Session. In Arrangement, yes, but not in real time really.

Perhaps record many very short clips and trigger them rapidly using follow actions?

No, but you can "unswing" it yourself by carefully positionning the warp markers.

Idea : set clip quantize to none, and then use the clip nudge feature- this must nudge the clip forward or back by a set number (very smalll for each nudge) of samples, since clip quantization is off. How many? I don't know.

Well, probably not ideal either, but might help.
